Pick a Pearl Holders

Last year, I bought pearl holders necklaces from eBay before our trip and my daughter and I picked pearls. Needless to say, those necklaces look HORRIBLE now. We won't even wear them. Where can I get nice pearl holder necklaces that aren't a small fortune like the ones they sell in Epcot?

just saw several pearl cage necklaces from $4.50 up to $22 - some "buy it now", too

I had mine drilled when I got home at a local jeweler. They put a pin with a loop thru it and then I put it on a chain I already had. It was fairly inexpensive (less than $40) and real metal not cheap pot metal. If you got two the same size/color you could probably do the same with earring posts.

Search "sterling silver pearl cage" on ebay. There are a few heart-shaped ones and sometimes flower ones.

I have a heart cage that I got at Sea World (I think....Epcot wasn't open yet). It still looks amazing, and that was in 1978.

This is an awesome idea! I want my souvenir from our trip to be a pearl that each of my kids pick. Putting all three onto one wire/bar/whatever so that they are stacked and hang from a chain would be wonderful.

And if you want to dress it up even more you can do what I did for my mother and add a stone. She had a small .12 ct diamond from a ring that she no longer wore and I added that to the top but you could do it with any stone, esp. if you have half a pair of earrings with a pretty stone that's just sitting around in your jewelry box. I know I have three or four earrings like that. Or maybe add your SO's birthstone.

Even better! I have an old ring from my grandmother, I might be able to use some stones from that. I will have to look for some of the single earrings I have, too. Thank you so much! Some old stones would make it even more special.
