Picabu Buffetaria? Did you like the breakfast?

We tried Tubbi's a few years back and loved their breakfast platter of eggs and bacon, it was great (hey, we're easy to please and love bfast). Do they have that same platter and is it still good? Anything else you liked there, including sweets like danish etc? thanks

I've only been there when it was Picabu last year so I can't compare, but they had an excellent eggs and bacon platter. I actually like pretty much everything they make there, great place to go for breakfast or for a late night snack!

We just got back from the Dolphin Monday night - second stay there this year - and, yes, the breakfast at Picabu's is still very good and the portions are large. The service is friendly with smiles all around. Prices are a little high, but if you are a AAA member there is a 20% discount. BTW, the warm apple turnover is very tasty! Have a great trip!!

I was very impressed with the breakfast sandwich. My first thought was that it was pricey for a sandwich (almost 10.00 once they added in tax), but betwen the sandwich and potatoes that come with it, it was a ton of food and well worth the cost. Everything was delicious too!

thanks everyone. I also get a DVC discount, so that'll be nice too. Do they still have Starbucks coffee there? How are the pastries, donuts etc? I love a little sweet treat now and then on vacation.

Hi again Jillpie,

Starbucks coffee is still there, but I'm not a fan of theirs and prefer the coffee at the lobby bar in the morning. We enjoyed the pastries we had, particularly the warm ones.

And a note to CamColt - AAA discount is supposed to be good at all the Swolphin casual eating places.

Overall, our stay at the Dolphin was an excellent one and can't wait, but will have to, to return.
