I have never been to 50's Prime Time and I would love to have some pics of their food as well as comments. As for PH, my BIL would love to see some. Thank for your help!!!
Also are the plates sharable! Can't wait to see some yummy pics!!!

BUMP! We have ressies in 2 months for 50's Prime Time, can't wait!~:thumbsup2

We want to go somewhere different at Hollywood Studios, we always go to Sci-Fi, so we opted for 50's... but my kids are not very big eaters ha! ha!

Check out my trip report in my sig from Christmas 2008. We ate there, and took pics of our food. We're going again in about 3 weeks. My wife never got to our DHS day on her TR.

TR post with 50's

We love 50s Prime Time and eat there almost every trip. Gotta love the pot roast and Dad's ice cream sundae is wonderful (we skip the cracker jacks). The waiters are very entertaining, but if you dont want to be "bothered" you can just let them know.

Planet Hollywood has other locations, so I would definitely opt for Prime Time.

PS--Dont forget to set the table, and keep your elbows off!

I have photos in the January TR in my siggie, sorry I am too lazy to repost them LOL. There are pics of food and decor in there

And eat your veggies, or risk this...:rotfl2:

Hi! Don't have pics but 50's is way fun and original. DH and I have been and are taking our boys for the first time on our next trip. DH had the pot roast-:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 from him and I had the fried chicken which was also very good. I love the decor and atmosphere of this place. It's a lot of fun.

We have been to Planet Hollywood before and it's okay, but I would choose 50's over PH.

Have fun!

I can't help you with Planet Hollywood, but we've been to the 50's Prime Time Cafe several times and quite enjoy it. Here are a few pictures from my TR from our February trip:

Mom at 50s actually came out to the side walk and yelled at me to do just that so I'm yelling it atcha too. NEVER pass up a disney themed restaurant for one you can find in other cities like Chicago or Denver or Centerville. Brrrrr scary brrrr brrrrr!

We LOVED 50's Prime Time. The food was great and the servers were the best, and very funny. Our server made my mom spit her gum in her hand, she told her no gum in Disney!! LOL It was too funny :rotfl2: My husband got told if he did not eat his veggies he would stand in the corner, my plate all of a sudden had more veggies on it. :lmao: It was a great time and in a week in a half we will have another meal there.

LOVE 50's. Best comfort food. Keep in mind that if you don't like the particular veggie that comes with the meal, you can swap them for something else. For example, I love green beans so I always get those, no matter what I order.

It makes it a lot easier than running the risk of Mom yelling at you for not finishing your veggies! Now, if I could only remember to keep my elbows off the table. Ha Ha!

Not great pic's I'm afraid - but may give an idea of the atmosphere inside the 'Globe' of Plant Hollywood....

Love both places. We NEVER miss an opportunity to eat at Planet Hollywood in Orlando. That's always our first night dinner (except for last trip). Love the atmosphere, the decor, the service, the food. FWIW, I just ate in PH in NYC two weeks ago -- horrible. Blech!

50's PTC really depends on her server. We had 1 bad server (didn't play the role, seem very annoyed) and it was just another meal. But if you have a great server who plays the role -- great time!

Thank guys for all your help... we decided to go to both places, I can't wait to go to 50's, we did Whispering Canyon Cafe and had a blast, my son loves to be singled out and plays along with everything...

We're in our late 50s and recognized much of the memorabilia at Planet Hollywood but none of the loud music videos. My cheeseburger was good and the server put a candle for my birthday in my husband's key lime pie but the constant sales pitches, early in our trip, were a turn off. They wanted to sell us souvenir glasses, photos, and Tshirts at the table but the last straw was the woman on a stool in the ladies room who apparently expected a tip for yelling at me that the soap is on the wall and you have to use the roll of paper towels on the counter. There were two huge plastic containers brimming with money on the counter. I had the feeling the woman might attack me to get a tip. The AC was working well and that was a top priority that evening so I'd have to say that overall the visit was good.

Wow, that must have been annoying... I hope this does not happen when I'm there.
