I understand that there will be three nights of ome extra festivities at PI later this month. I was thinking of taking DD (9). I thought she might enjoy the jugglers and magicians and I know she would like the bead tossing. Should we go Fri 2/20 or TUesday 2/24. WOuld Tuesday be a little less busy since it's not a weekend?

Well ... the Tuesday in question is actually Shrove Tuesday, the official Mardi Gras, so it won't be any less crowded! Friday may actually be a better choice.

If you take her, go early, and be sure she knows that along with all the magicians and jugglers, she'll be seeing a lot of people drinking and partying and basically not acting their ages. I wouldn't stay past about 10pm, regardless of which night you go. It gets pretty "festive" after that, if you get my meaning!

We're planning on being there on Tuesday 2-24. We did not realize that they were going to have something than. Does it get crowded and do people "expose" themselves?? When are these Mardi Gras nights so we can plan around them.

It will be more crowded than normal, but there are no "expose yourself for beads" things going on. This IS Disney, after all! Anyone doing that will be escorted off the Island quite quickly.

However, there will be a lot of people making quite merry -- definitely more than on a normal Tuesday night. Here's the official "blurb: --

"Celebrate Mardi Gras at Pleasure Island on February 10, 21, & 24. Enjoy Mardi Gras-themed decor, entertainment and activities throughout the Island. PI Live DJ will be the host of "Party Gras Central". Crawdaddio will perform themed sets on the West End Stage at 7:45, 9:00, 10:30pm and 12:00am and Funky Blues Messiah will perform at the Jazz Club at 8:15, 9:30, 10:50pm and 12:15am. Bacardi, Heineken & Amstel Light Ambassadors will be assisted by PI Live DJ in massive tosses of beads, doubloons and more at the Hub Stage, West End Stage, and Motion. Mardi Gras-themed stilt walkers will stroll Hill Street and a juggling duo and magician perform Mardi Gras-themed acts on Hill Street and by Jazz Company. Admission to Pleasure Island Mardi Gras is included with regular Pleasure Island admission media."

We were there in 2001 for Mardi Gras and we had a great time! Our DD wasn't with us that time, but we're going to be there this year with her! She's 11 and I think she'll have a good time. No exposing here diaman! We won't stay late either. I'm debating on when to go too. We were thinking Tuesday as it's not a weekend day too. Friday we're going to MK so that's out and I think Saturday would be the most crowded.
