Photoshop Elements 8?

Wondering if anyone upgraded to it? I'm still using version 6 on a 1 yr old computer & a new laptop. Version 5 had too many problems & would crash our old computer.

Wondering how version 8 was?

I like some of the new features, especially guides, and photomerge, but wonder how often I would use them & if its worth it.

Any good deals on it?

I I really like it! I have a Mac and a PC and they run about the same on both, I would download the free trial version, which is a full 30 day trial to see if you like it.

I'm still learning digital scrapbooking via watching many youtube videos & thru a book I bought. Most of them are geared towards ver 5 & 6.

Do you find the "how to" of things to be much different? Or just slightly different? I did watch some youtube videos about the new features in PSE8.

The how to is pretty much the same. I don't use it for Digi scrapping but I use it for photo editing and it is pretty much the same. You can find the free trial on the adobe website. Good luck

for scrapbooking how easy would it be to go from version 5 to 8 I will need a new laptop and need to buy the program. But iam only holding on to my ancient laptop for the use of version 5 which you cannot buy any longer. so if i upgrade and buy new program will it be still user friendly?

I've got ver 5 sitting around here somewhere. And if I upgrade to ver8, I'll have ver 6 sitting too.

I noticed people sell used software on ebay. Some like me, never even registered their version.

It might have been our old computer, but I had nothing but problems with ver 5 locking up & crashing computer. I thought I heard other people having same trouble.
