Photos of Guest Decorated Windows

Wow, great pictures everyone! I had NO idea that the non Deluxe resorts had windows never mind that people decorate them. LOL.

I have never seen any balcony decorating yet at my stays at Grand Floridian.

You thought only deluxe resorts had windows?????? :confused3

I can't remember if I posted these from our Aug 2010 trip, but I just booked for 2011 so I am really excited and reliving our 2010 trip, so here's our window. My mom made fun of me but she said she knew which room was ours :thumbsup2 and she wished she did it with her room lol.

We did Pirate Theme since we were @ CBR
Stitch had all our names and where we were from on it.
Thanks to Milliepie for the awesome DISigns! :thumbsup2

So cute! :wizard: What did you use as your template for the little Mickey heads? Did you trace the paint samples? What else is on your long strings? I think I see beads.

Thank you! :goodvibes - I used my Cricut to cut everything - the letters and the Mickey heads. The long strings also have beads and ribbon on them.
The Mickey Head magnets on the door were from a template from one of the Disigners here on the boards. I printed them out, laminated them, then used little dot magnets on the back.

Maybe this is the right place for this question. Im leaving in 3 days:banana: and want to put up xmas lights in the window. Is this allowed on the plane in your carry on. Id hate to buy it and have to throw them out before we leave!!!! TIA!!!! LOVE all of the picture on here!!!!! Thanks!

As a weekly business traveler, I've got packing a carry on down to a science, and you shouldn't have any issues with your lights. They really look for any gels, liquids, or aerosals (sp.?). They may pull them out and look since not many people carry twinkle lights through security ;), but you should be okay. You can always just ask when you get there, and then quickly stuff them in your checked luggage if you have to. Hope this helps. The TSA website also lists specifics on what you can carry on.

I know I've seen Halloween window decorations in September, so would Christmas decorations the first week of January be appropriate? We'll be there for marathon weekend.

we went christmas week of 08, stayed at pofq. we did lights in the window with the purples, pinks, greens etc...they use in the hotel decorations there each year. we also did a 3 foot fake pink christmas tree which we put on the table in front of the window. it had all princess and pirate decorations on it. we also put up inexpensive mardi gras masks on it as well. they were also hanging from the lights. we wanted to add in something of the resorts theme with our christmas stay. unfortunately the pics are on my back up not my computer...ugh. but i would certainly decorate going for any or no specific occasion in which case i'd do something that said we're here...after all any day at the world is better than a day at home or work.

Did you bring Mickey/Minnie with you or buy them there? I looked all over for a set that size in that sort of costume but just didn't see them.

Sorry I just saw this. We bought them there the year before. I'm not sure if they had them this past year.

I'm looking for some good ideas for decorating a window and door at POFQ for the summer. Thinking about using some Mardi Gras beads, but I think I need strands of them to frame the window. Any ideas appreciated!!! Last year we were at CBR and we decorated with Luau stuff we got at the end of school year that a lot of party stores have for graduation parties. But that won't really work at POFQ.

If anyone is going to Disney Valentines day or Easter check out Dollar Tree (if you have one in your area). They have cute disney window clings for these holidays. Some are Mickey and the gang, others have Tinkerbell. I wish I was going just to decorate a window:rotfl:

Has anyone used the Gel Clings on the windows at Disney? Do they leave a film when you take them off or do they leave the window clean?
