Photos missing from some trip reports

Hey, I was part way through reading a trip report, but recently all the photos seem to have disappeared.

I know that the photos were very large, so maybe that's the problem. Just wondering if there's anything you can do? This is a really popular thread (around 1.5 million views) so I'm sure others will want to see the photos too.

If the trip report was made prior to the move to the new boards, most photos/images didn't make the transition. Only way to "fix" it is to go back and repost the photos. Note - photo size must be smaller than 1MB to post.

Ahh ok, I understand that. But this is a newer problem (the photos were showing up a few weeks ago), so I wondered if it was a new glitch or something? Thanks for the info anyway.

If the photos were originally stored on a photo hosting website, it's highly possible the OP of that TR has removed the pics from the hosting website and/or closed the account. If you are really interested in finishing reading with the pictures, you could try PM'ing the OP to see if she did anything (inadvertently) not realizing it impacted the trip report. Though it doesn't look like she's been on the DIS for several months. I don't believe the DIS has any way to retrieve pictures in trip reports that are/were linked/stored on another site.
