Love the pics but can't wait to see this - we're there next week. I get a sense of the size of the balloons from the pics but there's nothing like the real thing. Thanks for posting!

very nice pics...thanks! we will be there Christmas week and some people have said it wont be that warm...from the way people are dressed in thos pics it seems as though it was cold..everyone looks like they are all bundled up. How was the weather??? I am hoping for a little warmth when we go. we live in New England and it is snowing and in the 20's today.....

As unpredictable as our weather is I can guarantee it will NOT be in the 20's or snowing when you're here.

I can only hope!!! Anything is better than snow, I guess, but you know we havent been to Orlando, HRH since 2005 and we have been in Dec. so we are definitley looking forward to WARMTH and SUN....please, GOD???

You should come prepared for anything from the 50's to the 80's. December weather...while nicer than most places...is still anyone's guess. We have cold fronts that come through and can cool things down in a hurry. Today it was 83 but tomorrow it's only supposed to be in the low 60's during the day with rain a strong possibility. Just make sure you have enough clothes to cover warm and cool and you should be fine.

thanks for the info....wanted to pack light...but i guess i will have to pack for both warm and cool...oh well....flying southwest and thank goodness they dont charge for extra baggage.!!!

It was chilly that night but last couple of days back in the 80's. I think it is 73 now but dropping to 63 or so this afternoon.

Also each day around 3-4p guest are recruited to help out as balloon handlers for that day's parade. Very Fun!!!

Its gonna be kool outside mid 60's till Saturday then its back to the upper 70's low 80's.Goes to show how December is in Florida wheather wise.

In Orlando...they're calling for a low tomorrow night of 49...quite a change from earlier this week huh?

I'm going tomorrow, 12/15/09. I know it's still pretty light as far as crowds go. I want to take a lot of good pictures of the parade for my tourist site I have.

Any info on the best place to be to take pictures? I actually don't want to be right up front as the pictures will be too close up. Where does the parade go, where does it start?

Is this parade everyday and what time? I;ve been searching on their site for about an hour now and the only thing I can find dates and times for is the concert series. I did see one thing that said the parade was only Dec 5, 12, and 19th at 5:30. We are not arriving in Orlando until the 19th and not doing Universal till the next day. Please tell me they will still have it.

Well I went the other day and took lots of pictures. I'll make a slide show in my site sometime with them. I noticed I was standing almost in the same spot Safetymom was, across from the terminator show.

But after the last float went by I ran down to the starbucks place and shot some more as they finished.

Just got back and watched the parade twice. I was really surprised how good it is. The music, the energy, the enthusiasm of the parade members - I really enjoyed it! The "candy cane stilt walkers" were my favorite - I swear those girls all were about the same size around as the stilts. Not sure how they found that many skinny people with stilt walking ability.
