Ok, I'm still confused on this, so I'm hoping that someone can clarify this for me. (Yes, I read the main thread on this and I'm still confused)

If I purchase an Annual pass, what is the difference between Memory Maker and Photopass. I'm trying to determine if I need to purchase Memory Maker or are Photopass and Memory Maker one in the same.

Thanks!
~Del
(it's been WAY to long since I've been to WDW and I'm feeling a little rusty!)

It's the same. Zero need to purchase memory maker.

Memory maker is just a short product that you can purchase.

Photo pass is the site and with your AP is good for the entire time you have your AP

Both allow you to edit and download your pics/videos

Thanks! I thought that was the case, but didn't want to spend $149 and find out that we didn't need too.

Also, the photopass ability will be automatically ready with your AP. Some people think they need to activate or link something, but it'll be all good to go when you have your AP.

Also keep in mind that the lower level AP's don't have the photopass with them. So depends on what you go with

Do you have access to your photos the entire time you have an active AP? Or just a certain number of days after your trip like memory maker?

I think the photos are available for 365 days. I can't remember the exact number, but it's at least close to a year.

Yes, it is a year and you'll always have a years worth of trips photos in the account
For example, say you had a trip in December last year.
You buy an AP in April this year
Your pics from December trip last year will reappear in your Photopass account, and remain there until December this year

This. Our AP expired last Nov and we can access our stuff until this Nov.

This was a surprise to us, but very true. We got an AP in January of this year. Though we went to WDW twice in 2016, we did not have APs for those trips. We also did not purchase MM for those trips. But all of the picture from those two trips, dating back to January of 2016 were available for me to download, but they expire so we had to do so within 30 days of their "1 year old" date.

In other words, you really get 2 years worth of pictures with our AP purchase - which will have covered 5 trips for us. That alone made the upgrade to APs worth it for us.
