Yeah me too!!No ride photos is a deal breaker for me.

Correction, it does NOT allow for the borders to be added.
You do not get ride photos any longer and you get the character meal photos added for download but you no longer get the free prints.

I don't think that is correct.
From the Disney Parks blog (bolding mine):
View your memories and purchase them in the Disneyland App! Purchase an individual photo, or download all your photos captured during a one-day visit to Disneyland Resort, and linked to your account, for $39 with Disney PhotoPass+ One Day.
Disney PhotoPass+ One Day includes all your Disney PhotoPass photos including select attraction and dining photos and NEW Animated Magic Shots.
I know you can add the ride photos to your AP photopass...you don't have to go to the attraction photo spot anymore thoughYou just need the number from the photo. Which makes it AWESOME when your dh & kids go on a ride on one side of the park & you're on the other side--no more hiking back to get the photos added to my PP+ card.

What's even worse about this to me is what a pain it is to get the voucher- now it would have to be done daily?! The lines are often long, if you have EE the camera shops aren't open yet, it takes away valuable morning park time, etc- to do this every day AND get no borders AND no prints AND pay more then twice as much (we always preordered) is awful!!
so.....we had pre-purchased the voucher before the shut down the program for our mid-January trip -- no issues at all redeeming or getting photos taken -- yippee!
we arrived home Jan 19 - went on old photopass site and made edits to all our photos (boarders, graphics, etc), had to go out on business on Jan 27, flying home today and went to log into the photopass site to make sure i was fully done all edits so I can redeem the code and start to download the images tomorrow (total of 420 photos) -- the old site is gone!!!! I cant find out photos on the disneyland.com website either -- phone support is not open tomorrow, the site is asking for the photocard code which i will try to enter again, hoping my pictures show up but I am still slightly panicked

Does anyone know if the PhotoPass photo from a character meal can be recovered without the digital download code? Or if there is a way to find the code without the original card? We ate at the Beachside Bonfire Buffet tonight and had our photo taken with Mickey. The CM gave us a card with a code for the download (we have Sig. + passes), but now we can't find it. Is there a way to recover this photo???
That was my first thought too, BUT you don't have to go into the photoshops at all now (which is pretty much the only positive I can say about this change!) You can make the purchase online on their website or via their app.
Here's the link to the page on the DL site: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/photopas
I will be visiting in September and the new photopass product is a huge disappointment for me. I sent what I believe is a respectful email to Disney (I will include it at bottom) and i will share any response I receive. I hope i wasn't wrong in any of my facts as I no longer have the old photopass to look at for prices.
"Hello, I am writing to you regarding your new photopass product. My family will be coming to disneyland in september for 5 days at the parks and we are very excited. This will be our first trip to disneyland, we have been to disneyworld 3 times and have loved it every time. One of our favorite things at the parks in florida is the memory maker product. Up until recently disneyland had a similar product in photopass where we could pay (I believe it was 100 dollars, but not exactly sure) for a pass that would be good for the duration of our trip. However now that product has been removed and replaced with the 1 day photopass for 39.99. This represents a great option for families that are only visiting for 1 or 2 days, however for anyone else it represents a significant decrease in value. I feel as though I am being punished for visiting the parks for longer than 2 days. I understand prices do go up and I am fine with that, however for our 5 day trip this represents a cost of 200$, a 100% increase! Are there any plans to provide an alternative for guests staying longer than 2 days, something similar to your park tickets where each day added is at a reduced cost. Right now this feels very much like a slap to the face of loyal long staying guests. I look forward to your reply."
Received a reply. Disappointing, but at least it's being passed on and isn't just a response written by a computer
