Photopass Superthread!

So if PhotoPass+ is now gone... if I bought mine in October, will they still honor my pass and the service I paid for if it's discontinued? I arrive at DLR in March. I would hate to get there, and turn in my voucher and they're like "Sorry."

I bought mine last fall for our trip in March too. It would be bad press for them not to honor it after they took our money!

Others have reported back they were able to use the photopass plus they pre-ordered before it was discontinued without problem. However, I do not know if there is an end date to how long this will be honored. I think you will be fine - enjoy it!
I did read of someone who said she had no problems - she handed it in during her Character Breakfast and they brought her their photo package and the card on the lanyard - she said it was great. However, if they are not able to honor it then they'd have to refund you the money. If you want to have firm confirmation, you could call or chat with a CM on their site?

Thanks Sherilaine. I did email a CM, and was told they'd honor it. phew!

I sure hope that I can use my pre-purchased voucher. I bought ours in November, hoping to be able to use it in two weeks!! Guess I'll find out on the morning of the 30th when we go to the Plaza Inn for our Character breakfast.

Please let us know if you have any problems! I hope it all goes well. Have a wonderful time!

All reports indicate they are still honoring the pre-ordered PP+

I had read those recently too. Thank Goodness. I was just getting concerned since the mention of a new PhotoPass site and offfering, if they'd still allot the same service I paid for.

Can you still buy a CD with all your photos from multiple days and if so what is the cost? I've searched the first and end of this thread and can't find the answer. Sorry if it's somewhere I didn't see. We have a trip the end of March and I just went to buy my photopass plus. Very disappointed that they don't still have it.

There is a new website and new offerings coming on January 26. It appears there will be a one day PP+ you can purchase for $39. However, I'd wait and see what all comes out end of this month and what is reported back by others over the next month or so, then you will know what to expect for your trip end of March.

It does sound like there won't be anything offered that comes close to the value of the pre-ordered Photopass Plus unfortunately!

I used my pre-ordered Photopass this past weekend.

The very first thing we did in the parks was the Minnie and Friends breakfast. I had no problem exchanging my voucher. They brought the lanyard to the table with the photo package. Everything else worked just like normal--adding ride photos was smooth and painless.

Once we got home, everything on the website is working well. All of the borders I expected are there.

I am going to try to order my downloads by the 26th, just in case something goes wonky when the activate the new website.

I'm super bummed it's the end of the road for the Photopass+. It was such a great deal for our family--sad to see it go.

Does anyone know what is available before the 26th if you don't have a grandfathered voucher? We're going this weekend before the new product will be live. TIA!

It sounds like the CD after the fact is still available for your photopass photos. That does not include ride or character meal photos, those you have to buy separately.

We have upcoming trip to Disneyland next month.
One of relatives gave us the cd below. They weren't able to use it and they said if we could use it along the vouchers then it's ours.
The CD is still sealed and apparently there're vouchers inside it.
I read throughout the cover, it has reference to Disney World.

By searching around, it appears this is an older product? But can't find any detail information in the official Disney Photopass.

Anyone can enlighten us whether we can use it for our Disneyland Trip? It has reference voucher for Disney Photopass Archive Disc, perhaps we can use that voucher?

Thank you!

That looks like a WDW product so not sure if you will be able to use it in DL. But it doesn't hurt to bring it and try!

How much extra do you pay after you buy these photo packages?

Do you pay to download the pictures (so you can print somewhere like walmart?). Or do you have to order their products?

With the packages, once you paid for the package the photos either on a CD or to download are included. So you don't have to pay any more to Disney and you can then print them yourself. You could also buy extra products like mugs, coasters, albums etc printed with the photos.

We have to wait for Tuesday at the moment to find out all the details of what the packages are now.

If you want additional photo products the packages also include a limited release so you can print them anywhere you want to (walmart, costco, etc) or use a site like photobucket or shutterfly to make books and mugs and anything else you may want.

Going this weekend, again, here's to hoping that the PhotoPass+ that I bought in November will still be honored.

I'll be heading in for a day on 2/6, so the one day pass is tempting. I loved being in WDW and not worrying about taking my photos, and we had the best experiences. Hoping it's not more than $39...that's about the max I'd pay for the service for the day....

OMG! I am SO glad I logged onto the Photopass threads today, because everything on the old website--including all the photos from my trip last weekend--expire at midnight tonight! I was able to buy the photo CD tonight!

So, I have no idea what everyone else with the prepaid vouchers is going to do, but it worked out for me...thanks to the DISBoards!

I think it's been known for sometime that this was the replacement product - 1 day for $39 - I don't imagine they are going to change it because people are upset though - they more than likely are making this decision where their eyes wide open. I am not going to purchases it - but we have a LOT of photopass plus pictures that well, we really don't do much with as it is. I just don't think it's worth the price. However, I can't imagine people complaining with alter anything - the maximum # of tickets is holding steady at 5 even though people made a lot of noise about that decision!

I still don't understand what $39 gets. It appears to be all of your photos for the day, download to their site for 45 days? Or can I download them to my computer and save them forever? I didn't see a price or an option to by a CD. I have never used photopass, any help would be appreciated (:
