PHOTOPASS+ So confused

First time poster here but I have been lurking for a long long time.

It's been a couple of weeks since we have returned from our Disneyland vacation and I finally had some time to redeem our PhotoPass+ pictures but unfortunately, it hasn't been the easiest experience.

I looked through the PhotoPass+ superthread but I had a question as far as the CD. Are you able to download the photos to your computer as well as get the CD mailed to you or is it one or the other?

I appreciate any help I can get regarding this. This was a little more complicated than I thought it would be.

It's one or the other. You have to make a choice under "delivery method" whether you choose to have the disc mailed or if you would like to download the files. If you choose to download them, you can always burn your own disc. Also, if you get the disc mailed you can transfer the files onto your computer. I choose to download them because I'd have to pay extra for international shipping for the disc, and it's nice not to have to wait for the disc to come in the mail.

Can I ask a question on your thread? With the Main Street Photo Shop being down for refurbishment, where do you trade in your voucher for your card? Can you only do it in CA now?

What I'm going to attempt is to get it traded in a GK at DLH, since our first day is just DTD and GK. Hope it works. If it doesn't we'll be headed to CA on the Monday to trade it in. Unless someone posts something different. Maybe there will be a sign on the Main Street Photo Shop's Door.

I thought the Photopass+ thing was super confusing after our return. I wanted to download them because I'm impatient, but it was not user friendly AT ALL! I was terrified I was going to mess it up somehow and lose my pics.

I'll definitely purchase it again, but I know I won't remember how to download the pics! I'll have to muddle through again I guess

Pre-purchase it here (http://www.disneyphotopass.com/specialoffers/dlrppp.htm) at least 14 days in advance, since it's cheaper than getting it same-day in the parks.

At the Kingswell Camera Shop on Buena Vista Street. It is cheaper to purchase in advance, but if you miss your 14-day advance purchase window (like we did this trip) you can still go to the Camera Shop in DCA or the Photo Shop in DL.

It's scheduled to be under refurbishment during our dates as well. Where can we redeem our photopass+? Only in DCA? Because we hasn't planned on going there until day 3.

Hrm, it seems that I can just print the document they supply and bring it with me to redeem on the day. That's pretty handy!

Unless something has changed recently, they send you a voucher in the mail, not one that you print out at home. That's why you have to order it at least 14 days before your trip. In special cases they will let you show your confirmation e-mail, but that's only if you haven't received your voucher by the time you leave home.

Oh really? I didn't look like it was going to charge me anything for shipping so I assumed it was going to give me something to print. I didn't go all the way through the process. Hrmm, might have to pay a bit extra at the park and not have to worry about it getting lost in the mail?

Yes they will send to international destinations. I am in Canada, and got the CD and voucher in less than 2 weeks. You just have to pay in US$.

When I went in 2012 I didnt pre-order the photopass . and I bought the CD in the park. When we go next year, I will pre-order a photopass+ ... but can I still purchase the CD in the park or do I have to wait and order it online?
