Photopass question

I have looked all over the website and cant find the pre order option. Secondly is it alright to pre order a few days before you go or do you have to order a specific amount of time in advance, i have left everything a little bit late to arrange.Also if you were to pre order, what happens if you come back and haven't got many shots and don't really want the cd anymore, is there any way out of it?

what happens if you come back and haven't got many shots and don't really want the cd anymore

You will probably find when you come back and activate your photopass that you have more photo's than you realised

I have just activated ours and between us we had over 800 as well as 1800+ of my own photos - I am going to be busy editing for the next 27 days

TIP - always have the photopass photographer take a pic with your own camera as well ~ I have photo's of the couple who were in the queue ahead of us on my photopass instead of our family!! (luckily we had a pic on our own camera too)

If you contact Photopass and give them the date and approximate time (the date at least will be on the photos on your account) and the location, they will be able to find your missing pics and add them for you.

I am going to mention, albeit that it may not be relevant in this case, if you are ordering the Photopass Plus and not the regular CD, once you break the seal on the Photopass case that is shipped to you ahead of your trip, there is no refund option. Just something to be aware of

I've filled in the form but as the photos were taken near the beginning of our holiday the 30 day mark was yesterday (bah!) I've filled it in anyway and uploaded the photo taken with our own camera, which also had the exact time and date in its digital file, so I may get lucky you never know

I have asked them to find pics a few times and always been successful so they seem pretty good at it.

It doesn't matter. When looking for missing photos they give you more leeway than they do for folk who are late at ordering

Those pics may appear to 'drop off' from your account after 30 days, but they PP folk still have access to them on their system for some time afterwards

I could be wrong but I think they have closed that loophole in the last year or so by ensuring that the photos on the cards need to have been taken after the date you pre ordered. So the system will let you pre order but it won't apply the pre order credit when you order your current photos on a CD as they would have been taken prior to the order - i.e. you will still pay full price for this lot and then still have a credit for a pre paid CD for next time. Hope that makes sense the way I explained it

Yes, because your pre purchase date will be BEFORE the date that the first photo is taken

You're right!! I emailed them last night at around midnight, even though the calendar on the form only went back to 12th October I typed in all the information in the box below (date, time, place etc) and uploaded the photo taken with our camera - I had a response at 2.30pm today saying they had found our photo's and that they would appear on our account after a few hours, which they have

Very impressed with their speed in getting things sorted out, I hope the couple who's photos also appear on our account are also aware they can contact photopass to find their photos.
