I am thinking of pre-ordering photopass for an upcoming WDW trip. How far in advance do I have to do this?

Can I wait until a few days before my arrival?

Just before works, too. All pre-ordering does is lay the groundwork for the pics that will be taken during your trip.

That's correct - pre ordering does not mean they ship you anything in advance. It basically just applies a credit of one CD to your account. Then when you get home and enter your card's number to see your photos, you put the CD into your cart. After you go to your cart to start check out, it will show that you have a credit for one CD and it will bring the cost down to $0. (But you do have to pay S&H.)

You can pre-order any time before you have that first photopass picture taken. That means even after checkin at your resort as long as you haven't had any pictures taken. Personally, I prefer to do it as soon as I think about it so I don't forget.

But, if you pre-order more than 90 days before your arrival date, the Code will expire and it can be a HUGE hassle to get a new code.

Oh no, don't tell me that. I pre-ordered mine last week because I had it budgeted and we still have 94 days to go!!! What do I do???

Call the 800 number on the Photopass website and ask them if the code still expires if not used within 90 days.

I just sent an email asking about the 90 day thing. I ordered mine at the end of April and our trip is next week. Hopefully it will still work.

I don't think that's the case anymore. You don't even get a code now. The CD is automatically put in your cart.

I'm talking about the redemption code. They email you your code after you pre-purchase the CD.

Yes, I know. They no longer email a redemption code.
So what do you do now when you get back from your trip to get your pre-ordered Photopass? How do they verify that you pre-ordered?

How are the pictures that are taken linked with the pre-order? Just curious as to how that works when you get to the parks. Do you have to give them any info before the pictures are taken for the first time?

So - if I pre-order, the CD will be 99.99 plus shipping.

Then when I get to the parks I can get as many photos as I want taken. (Is there a limit?)

When I return home, I log into my acct, enter the photopass card(s) number. (Is there a limit to the number of cards?)

Photopass will send me the CD will all the pictures. Then I can print these myself either at home or at a photo site like snapfish or wherever?

Is this right?

Correct. And there is no limit on how many pictures you can take or how many cards you can have.
