I am trying to decide if we should pre order the photopass CD and just do our own prints OR if we should just order the prints we love directly from Disney post trip.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated... we leave in 9 days!!!

Also, I've heard that the photographers are more than happy to take a photo with your own camera at the same time, if this is true do you still need to order a whole CD?

Has anyone asked the photographer to take your picture with your own camera? I'd feel weird doing that.... The photopass CD sounds so nice,,,,but a lot of money. I've heard on other places that you can share them with other families....saves money....

You can most definitely ask them to take an extra pic with your camera. Sometimes they'll offer. However, there's nothing like the quality & options that comes with photopass compared to your own camera.

I suggest doing both. One time my fav pic didn't come out with Photopass, closed eyes, but thank God I had them take one with my camera as well. It's my favorite picture & had I not asked I wouldn't have it.

I will be buying the CD every trip from now on. It's definitely worth the cost- just be sure to take EVERY photopass opportunity possible. We do the same shots over & over. By the end you have like 300 photos on cd for the same price as if you only had 30.


One last thing, tell the photographers you're buying the cd & want to get your money's worth & depending on how busy it is or the cm, they will sometimes do like a mini photo shoot with tons of different poses.

Anyone know if the package with the 5x7 and 4 wallets all have to be the same picture or can you get all different ones? (I suppose that would be too much to hope for!!! )

I've heard on other places that you can share them with other families....saves money....

There are lots of PhotoPass Share threads active right on these boards at any given time; you just have to search around to find one that's going on during your trip.

It's easy to do and saves you a lot on the cost of the CD. On my last trip I split a CD with 11 other people and we all paid less than $10 each (this was when the CD was still $100 - it's $125 now unless you pre-order.)

Thank you for the link! The way I see it, it's worth it to preorder the CD if you're planning to buy 10 or more prints.

Does anyone know about how many pictures are taken on average? I haven't been there in so long, and I have no clue how many opportunities there are. We're not planning to spend a lot of time standing in line to greet characters (my son just wants to see Mickey), and we will only be in the parks for 4 days. I just don't want to preorder the CD and only like 4 of the pictures.

I'm thinking of pre ordering as well, sharing seems like too much work for me.

Anyone go during Christmas? That's when we're going...I'm wondering if it will be so busy that we won't be able to get our picture taken much (cms too busy).....any thoughts?
