Photopass - Pre purchase or not?

Hi all

was wondering if you could help me with my question please?

How many images do you get for your pre-order of $99? Is it limitless?

Sorry we've never used photopass at all before and was just hoping to rule out some queries. Thanks as always! :goodvibes

"To help you celebrate, save 20% on any one order at Disneyphotopass.com (excluding the purchase of any Disney's PhotoCD). Enter the ID above..." blah blah blah.

1) is this a good deal in the grand scheme of things or should I just toss and

2) if this is a good deal, can anyone here give it a good home? I actually have a few (2 from this year for my birthday as we switched resorts and so I got 2 birthday cards and pretty sure I got 2 last year stashed somewhere from him indoors birthday card and an anniversary card - there's no expiry mentioned on the cards bar the 30 day photo expiry on the website so assuming I can find them should still be valid.) and happy to spread the love if someone can make use of them as wasted on us.

It is a good deal if you would normally purchase prints. 20% is a fairly decent discount in my opinion. I think you really don't want to be paying international shipping charges though as that pretty much voids the discount, unless you choose to view it as 'free' shipping.

I posted recently that I have a few of those cards too which came with photo albums I bought there and it seems that there is no expiry on them so I would imagine as long as your photos are valid and you are making a purchase that you can add the code at check out.

Sarah, there is no limit to how many pics you can have :thumbsup2

We had over 400 last year and by the time I had edited and added all the borders etc there were just under 2000 of them over 5 CDs. :goodvibes

No limit on amount of images, I am trying to remember how many we recieved in August 2009, it was something like 300-400 which after adding borders totalled about 3,000, they sent them on 7 or 8 CD's.

wow that's amazing! $99 for nearly 2000 images?!

Otherwise I'm guessing it's about $20 an image to purchase separately after you come home instead of getting the unlimited images on CD(s) for pre-order $99? Seems like a good deal to me! :thumbsup2 Not sure we would get anywhere near 2000 though!

The only reason why I ask (not sure how weird this is gonna sound so I apologise now!) but I didn't wanna spend $99 on something and then feel like i *have* to spend all the time looking for photographers to get photos etc as I had already paid for it to get my money's worth. Does that ever feel like the case? Thanks for your replies :goodvibes

Last time I looked it was $14.95 to download one image :scared1:

We come home from a 10 day trip last year with close on 200 photos without 'looking' for photographers - however we have a 2 year old DD so do character meets and they take loads.

We also like to try and make a point of stopping at the 'icons' to get groups photos so we have some of all 3 of us. Doesn't take loads of time as we just stop if they are not busy.

Don't forget you can get you money back if you are not happy with the number or quality of the photos.

Thanks Elise79, I've done a bit more research into it and I've spoken to the other half and he says he's up for doing it so I've set up the account, just gotta do the pre-order bit! Cheers for the advice all :thumbsup2
