Photopass poses - The cheesier the better!

Yakety76, that picture is so cute. I love the look on your daughter's face. I can just picture her thinking "um....are you crazy? What are you looking at? There's nothing there!"

Thanks! I think she gets it now that we have the actual picture, but at the time she definitely thought I was crazy.

That is too funny! She really does look as though she is thinking, "What is WRONG with you?" :lmao: So cute!

I wonder how many times I get that look in a day without realizing it.

This is priceless, thanks for sharing!!! I love it, made me smile this morning before I am off to work!!!:goodvibes

Yay! I am so glad it sent you off to work with a smile.

I love all your poses- especially the Nemo ones. Too Cute!

Sherry E, You and your friends sure managed to get a lot of photopass pictures taken during your October trip. Good for you!!

After ordering the CD for our past October trip, I think I will now have to order one each time we go. It is so nice to have pictures of the whole family together and the photographers did such a nice job.

Well, I kind of just announced to my friends that we were doing PhotoPass to try it out, and forced them into the photos, and eventually they began to see it was a good idea!!:lmao: They even said, "This was a good idea." I actually wish I had done it last December instead, when we had extra folks with us, but I didn't know too much about PP at that point.

We had 58 photos in the initial account - that even seemed like more than I thought we had taken over two days. But after editing and all that, I turned 58 photos into 112 by adding the effects and all that. So I think the CD is a really good deal because you can get hundreds of photos for the same $66.95 (including shipping) price. And it is really good to have as a back-up in case someone's camera dies or just to have everyone in all the photos. Plus, it is nice to be able to add the Disney borders to some of them. So, yes! You should get a PhotoPass CD for every trip!:thumbsup2 I think everyone should. It can't hurt. Having the pictures taken is free and sharing them is free. No one has to spend any money beyond that, but I think it is a great bargain - by Disneyland standards, that is!!!

Thank you!:goodvibes I am a goofball - always have been - and I will attempt to take pictures of people sleeping, people eating, people talking, posing with inanimate objects acting silly, anything where I can get a good cheesy shot. So PhotoPass is a good tool to bring out the cheesy side in people! Yes, it was pretty fun in October, though not the MOST fun DLR trip I have had. I just posted a couple of old holiday photos over on the holiday photo thread, and as I was choosing the two pictures to post, I realized THAT trip in 1992 was REALLY fun! They had some cool Christmas stuff at DLR back then, like Candy Cane Lane. Now I am inspired to get out other older DLR holiday pictures and post them somewhere!!

Oh my gosh, I just totally love your older Holiday photos, you so need to dig out more of them to share, I love it!!! You look like so much fun to be at Disney with, you might have to come over for a mini-meet with me on one of my trips next year, DL alone is ok, but it is so much more fun with another person sharing the Disney love!!!:goodvibes

Thank you so much for the nice words! I hope I am fun to be at DLR with, though my friends who have known me for 100 years are probably sick of me!:rotfl: So maybe I will seem fun to new people! I will attempt to dig out some more older DLR holiday pictures from the old albums and scan/upload/post!:santa: Some of my old photo albums will not let go of the pictures without a fight (it is the old, sticky glue on the pages), and I have to be careful not to tear anything, and some of the albums seem to let the pictures out very easily. So I just have to see what I can get out of the albums without any ripping!

Yes, we definitely will have to have a mini-meet on one of your trips! I am sure we could actually round up several DIS-ers in enough time to meet when you go! There are quite a few people from here who I have to meet so we should all have a big pow wow with one big cheesy group PhotoPass picture! I have not yet done a solo DLR trip, though I will eventually - probably sooner than later - but I am interested to see if it will be more productive for me, or if I will feel really weird! I think I would enjoy rides better with friends than alone, but the shopping and other stuff might not be too weird alone. Do you have any DLR-loving people near you in PA who are itching to visit the Mouse? It is always better to go with people who really share the same love of DLR.:goodvibes

We can never find the photopass people when we are there or it's not at the right time lol. So this isn't a photopass picture but it is one of my favourite of my youngest son and his favourite person.

What a cutie! He does look very happy!

I noticed more PhotoPass people in DCA than I did in DL, but I would hope that with all the cool holiday decorations in DL now there will be more PP photographers around IASW and the other festive spots.

Thats the thing, all my friends around here, well lets just say they think I am totally crazy for my love of Disney. So most of my trips are solo, which it really does kind of get lonely. It would be so cool to do a mini meet and meet fellow DISers. I would love that. My trips for next year, I am planning early but they are Oct. 15-19 and Dec. 9-14. I wish I could go before that, but money won't allow, plus I just really want to visit the parks at this time of year, so I have to be patient but I would love to plan a mini meet, that would be cool. I can't wait to see what other photos you have, I know what you mean about the older photo albums. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well, I think you are in the right place if you want to meet people who share your love of Disney!!!:goodvibes And those times of year - Halloweentime and Christmastime - are the best times to go, so you chose wisely! :cool1:

I posted a few more photos - not on the Holiday Photo thread but on the Favorite Character Photo thread this time. I am still plowing through the old albums, practically performing surgery to get the pictures loose!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!:) - and to everybody!!!:)

Sherry, those albums (we now know) ruin pictures. So it's a good idea to get all that you can out of there and put them in an album that won't destroy the pictures. I had to take all the family photos, after I inherited them, out of those "magnetic" albums (why on earth they were called that I don't know...shoulda been called "sticky-back will kill your pictures" albums), and I have a few where I'm going to have to razor blade them out (though my Creative Memories future-consultant (haven't bought from her yet) says they have a tool for just such work) or cut the page in two the difficult way b/c there are pix on both sides, or sacrifice one side...not sure what I'll do yet, but it's on the horizon.

Good luck in getting them out of the books! I now have all my family pix in envelopes, waiting until I can find the "perfect" and safe album for all of them. They are all also the small 70s/early 80s print sizes, not even 3x5 for some of them, so the new 4x6 albums will dwarf the prints. :headache:

Hey Sherry, I think I am in the right place too and really hoping to be able to meet up with you and maybe some other DISers in the coming year on my trips. It will be so much fun. I saw your character photos and can't wait to see more, I am really enjoying going back and seeing some of the older photos, they are so great!!! Good luck in getting those photos out, it can be a battle.:goodvibes

Ooooo, Lordy, I don't know what made me think those "magnetic" albums were a good idea way back when! There always seemed to be a good sale on them, so that must be why I kept buying them. Out of all my photo albums, I only have two or three which have pockets for pictures instead of those darn sticky pages! What I did today to remove a few of them was use a skinny metal nail file and that worked. I mean, they still came off the page a little curly at the ends and with some sticky residue on the back, but they came out without tearing. Ideally, I would like to get all these poor old photos in the "perfect and safe album," as you said and also have everything put onto CDs as back-up. It is always a good idea to have back up copies of photos in some version or another, but that is a costly endeavor when you have tons of photos! If I attempted to remove every single picture I have from every album and scan each one and then upload them somewhere, I would be scanning for the rest of my life, not to mention my computer would crash before I was done!

Good luck finding the perfect albums for your family pictures! I know what you mean about those older phots being smaller (and oddly sized). You are right - they were not even 3x5. Some of them were more square than that.

I wish I had some pix to post but still waiting on my CDs to arrive. :confused3 Ordered on 11/11, standard shipping and haven't gotten them yet. I think they tried to deliver them late yesterday by UPS but we were at DL and they didn't leave them. Done know why as the slip doesn't say needs to be signed for and we see our UPS guy a couple times a week. He always comes between 5-6 p.m. but now won't be back until Monday. Too late to use my PP pix for my free Snapfish album:confused3 . I think the failed delivery was from Disney, not sure as all it says on the slip is PCS or PSC.

So, if it was my CDs yesterday, than standard delivery is 10 days, or 9 business days. Once I get them, I'll post some.

Hey There, just wanted to check and see how you were making out with your CD, sure hope it has arrived, can't wait to see your photos. :goodvibes

I'm still waiting. :confused3 I got a email from UPS (after I sent PP my email) saying that they may, or may not have, received my package (11/26) for delivery-est. date delivered 12/5. With the holiday I haven't been able to get any updated info on the shipment but I'm hoping to do so tomorrow. Seems, according to UPS, that the hold up was receiving billing information from Disney--What the *&$#((%*! Disney said they shipped it on 11/12 and UPS said they didn't get the right info from Disney until 11/26. Has anyone else had this problem?

This has really annoyed me since I was planning on using some of the PP for Christmas gifts. I didn't get it in time to use in the free book from Snapfish and now I'm not going to get them in time to order calendars from Snapfish at 20% off. :confused3 Now I have to decide if I'm going to wait to get the CDs to make up my calendars. I'm probably going to make up my gift ones for DM, DSis's, DG, etc. and hold off on mine to use PP pix. It'll cost me more but I really want some PP pix on my calendar.

I know I could order calendars from Disney but they're about $10 more each, and with ordering 6, that's a big difference. Plus, who knows if they'll be received in time. :confused3

Thanks for thinking of me, hopefully I'll have pix to post this weekend. I also need to burn copies for our friends who joined us at DLR, and BB. I keep telling them the CDs are coming!:scared1: They're probably thinking yeah, and so is Christmas!

UPDATE

Okay, I just received a call back from Disney Photo Imaging. :goodvibes They had emailed me their phone number and I left a message with all my info about 1/2 hour or so ago. A very nice CM called me back and said she was very sorry about the delay, and no it's not normal. She also said that since she couldn't verify the 2nd shipment with UPS she was going to resubmit it again. Also, since there was a 2nd shipment made, they no longer can track the first shipment (sent 11-11). Looks like I'll end up with 2, or 3, CD orders. And she's going to try to put through a partial refund for all the trouble. :flower3:

So, things as progressing, maybe I'll even get my 3rd order before Friday. They are sending it Express this time.:woohoo:

I was so glad to see your posts, it sounds like hopefully you might get it soon.
Can't wait to see your photos, they are always the best!!! I'll be waiting.:goodvibes

I just love all these pictures.

Please someone take me to DL with you. :worship:

You need to post more photos too! Do you have anymore Photopass pictures? Your own sparkly castle picture was just beautiful, and those little cuties in all your photos are ADORABLE (your pictures are several pages back in this thread but I remember them! Love the little princess dresses, and taking the picture of the backs of them rather than from the front was such a clever idea)! So precious!!!:thumbsup2 :goodvibes
