Photopass poses - The cheesier the better!

They came! I was waiting for the UPS man to come last night and he finally brought them at about 6 p.m.! (Side note-I'm glad PP agreed to send another sent Next Day since the set that was due on 12/5 has now been backed up to 12/8)

I was surprised to see only 3 CD boxes in the box since I have 2180 pix but no worries, this year they have 2 CDs in each box. I ended up with 5 total CDs. Looks like they can fit 490 pix per CD.

So, I've got some (real) work-the stuff that pays the bills, and I've made myself a promise that I won't do anything with my PP pix until I finish, but here's a preview of a few ours. More to come....

Yeah, that tends to happen...sometimes you have to keep a thread active and on the first page for a long time before people get around to seeing it. I know that I have 'just discovered' some threads that have been around for ages! But I know there are plenty of PhotoPass users out there, so I am sure we just have to coax them out of hiding!

Ooooohhh..that IS an unusual picture, Judy! You don't normally see that setting for PhotoPass pictures - at least not on this thread. I like it because it does seem to be more 'rare' and it is a good concept with the reflection in the mirror and all. That ranks right up there with jnjusoioa's Nemo-related pictures (including the seagull on the head!)! It is something different that we don't see every day!

However, I must admit I STILL get a kick out of all the 'typical' poses that we have to do, and which we see regularly - such as looking scared or pointing at Stitch - because I like to see everyone's different interpretations of the same idea! Everyone has their own way of executing the poses and expressions!

Thank you! Did you see how bored I looked in my Buzz Lightyear picture? Yikes! And I LOVE that ride! I think I am going to try to scan some more older (and silly) ones and post them in my TR later today, so check back periodically. I really should get ALL my pictures scanned (even the non-Disney ones) just as a precaution, so this gives me an excuse to do a few at a time!

You can imagine how hard it was to NOT be able to visit DLR for many years (money issues) after I had been going there all my life! But, even if I have to go into DLR hibernation again for a little while, at least I have gotten a few good trips squeezed in in 2007/2008 - and some good pictures - before that happens. I am hoping this holiday trip in 2 weeks will be merry and festive, and that I will have gotten everything accomplished that I usually don't have time for when I'm there! I, of course, plan to be taking many more PhotoPass pictures, so you can definitely expect to see me pointing at Stitch in front of a Christmas tree or somewhere similar very soon!

I took a quick peak at your TR pics and I loved the Buzz Lightyear one! Too funny! We have a picture from California Screaming taken several years ago with myself, DH and my MIL and it still cracks me up. DH and I are both screaming (like you would expect to see) and my MIL looks so bored. In fact, she looks like she is sleeping! And she wasn't trying to pose like that like i know some people do, she just looked that way naturally. I ususally don't buy ride photos ($$$) but I had to buy that one because it was too good to pass up!

LOL!!!! Actually, if you knew the friend in question, you would know she is the biggest limelight stealer around - so that is why, when I got those old pictures developed back in the '90s and saw how they appeared, I thought it was hilarious - but unplanned!! In the one picture, the blue character is totally ignoring Mandy (she is in a lot of the pictures in the last two pages of my TR), but I didn't see that until I got it developed! And in the other picture, when Chip came over to kiss my hand, I am usually very aware of banging into people or invading their space, so I am guessing that somehow my friend's proximity to me didn't seem as close in person as it appears in the picture, because I know I wouldn't have intentionally put my elbow in her face, and I am sure Chip wouldn't have instigated that, either! Mischievous chipmunk! But it LOOKS very funny!

But I noticed something when going back and looking at old pictures as opposed to photos from now. No one is having as good a time in the ones taken now as they did 'back then.' My friends used to be more willing to do goofy things like pose with statues and make funny faces and really act wacky in photos years ago - and people would look at the pictures and say, "Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!" Now, I look at the current pictures, and I just see serious 'older' people standing and smiling. There is no fun or joy coming across, really! I try to bring out the 'wacky' in people, but they let their age set in, I think! It is no longer allowable to be silly!

That is why PhotoPass helps a lot - the photographers encourage the subjects to be ridiculous, and my friends (sort of) go along with it! So let's see some more cheesy pictures, people!! Come on, Disneydaz, I know you are out there with more pictures for us!!!

Yes, LavenderPeach, you must scan and post the MIL on California Screaming picture when you can! I am anxious to see the sleepy-bored look! I bet it is hilarious!

Sorry for the delay, life interrupted, now back to the show.. from Disneyland (not all are cheesy, some are just too cute!)

If you looked real close you might have noticed some of us are sporting "tattoos" That was during Halloweentime and they painted (for free) for Dia De La Muerta in front of Big Thunder. DD and I got them done several times.!
