OK...So I plan to buy the photopass CD ahead of time to get the discounted rate. Now, I see on the MNSSHP map/schedule they offer 40% off of pictures
taken at that party That of course will not really apply to me if I plan to get the CD ahead of time, right?
Pictures from the MNSSHP can just be added to the rest of my photopass, can't they?

Your MNSSHP pics can be added to your CD - no problem.

The 40% off can only be applied to actual photo prints.

I figured as much!!!
So, if I am ordering the CD, there's no point in ordering prints right?

Not really since you can print your pics from the CD in any size you want and anywhere you want (Walgreens, at home, wherever ) and they will still be cheaper than the 40% off cost.

The 40% off is for your total order of prints. We went last year, I did not buy the CD but I linked out party and regular photopass together on the PP website and got 40% off my entire order even though I didn't buy any of the pictures from the party.

to clarify, from the definitive guide to photopass:

In 2008, the discount continues to be 40% off all prints. This can be applied to prints of party photos purchased during the party or can be used as a one-time discount online on all prints ordered regardless of when the photos were taken.
