PhotoPass+. Is it worth it?

For us, it was definitely worth it. We got a couple hundred photos, plus ride photos. We were there five days, so plenty of time to get our money's worth. The biggest thing for me, was that I actually got to be IN the pictures with my family, versus always being the one taking pictures. You can still take plenty of your own photos too. Are they always amazing photos? No, but at least the whole family is in the pictures. It also makes you stop to take those whole family pictures, since you paid for it :)

I agree: I loved my PP+. I know where to turn in your voucher for your PP+ lanyard in DL: yet can/where do you get your lanyard in DCA?
Kidwell Camera, on the right side when you enter the park, just past the lockers and fruit stand :-)

Always worth it for us. We just spent 5 days in the parks and came home with 225+ pics on the PP+ card :)

I was curious about this too as I have an old PP card I could use when the bf rides his rides alone. Do you just link both cards to PP? Or is this something you do through a ride link?
I wouldn't use an old one. You can get a new one from any of the PP Photographers. When you log in to your PP account, it gives you the opportunity to add multiple Pp card numbers...this is where you would add the PP+ card # and any other card #'s you obtained. If someone gets a ride photo, and they are not with the person with the PP+ card, they need to take note of the photo # (write it down or take a cell phone pic), and then the person with the PP+ card has to go back to the photo desk for the ride in question and have it added to the PP+ card.

I believe the pictures on PP card will expire after 90 days (or less?). Just like Girimama33 said, just get a new PP card from the photographer.
My first time there I had a collection of 5-6 cards. This was before I know about the PP+ :-)

Another resounding Yes! It's worth it! We weren't going to get one for our last trip in April since we were just there in October and weren't going to do a character meal this time. But I'm so glad we did. We ended up with over 100 pictures and I love the ride photos the most. We do actively try to get pictures taken whenever we see a PP photographer, even if it's the same place as the day before because maybe my hair is cuter or I like what my kids are wearing better on one day over the other.

Also consider that the same thing at WDW is more than 2x as much, it really seems like a bargain.

That is super helpful, thanks! My old PP card account is still working, but none of the photos from 7 years ago are on there ;D I was mainly curious if you had to come back with the card to the ride or if you simply could merge the two PP cards online.

You can simply add the PP card number to your account and it will merge all of them into one account. Last trip to DLR, we were there with my brother (with his family) and my parents. We combined all of the cards into one account. Convenient if you forget your card or split up.

I know i can pay for my PP+ in advance. The regular PP though - if I get one for DH if we go off alone (I can't see it but it could happen), where do I get a regular PP?

The Photographers in the past have had a big stack on them. Could anyone verify that this is still the case? You just ask to have a picture taken and they provide the card to you. You hold onto the card and just keep using it while you're there.

DH and you can use any regular PP card from any PP photographer to split off from the pack. You simply type in the number to the PP website to add the card/photos. it can take a while (a day) for it find all of the "new" photos but they will get there.

DW and I are taking an adult only trip next month. I think I am going to get the PP+ so we are sure to get photos with both of us in them.

Yes...this is the case like I mentioned above (get a new one from a PP photographer).
Just to reiterate...If someone from your group goes on a ride with a photo op, and the person with the PP+ card is not with them, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ADD THE PHOTO ON TO A REGULAR PP CARD, ONLY THE PP+ CARD. They will have to take note of the ride photo number and return within 24 hours with the PP+ card in order to add it. Multiple PP cards can be added to your account online...has nothing to do with adding a ride photo. The ride photos will appear once the PP+ card has been entered into your account.

I normally get a lanyard with two clear sides to hold all of the entry tickets (to allow you to run and get FP chits for the entire family), PP card (they can scan it in the lanyard pouch) and my FP chits during the day. This way they are easy to find and don't get munched up in my pocket.

I take the lanyard off, hand it to the PP photographer before the photo and then the lanyard is not in the photos.

I think if you order the PP+ before you get there, they send you a lanyard with pouch.

I am tempted by the discounted price of FP+ that one gets by buying it in advance. My husband doesn't think it's worth it, so... what's the consensus? He seems to think we'd only get a handful of pictures. I imagine that we can get a ton of pictures taken during a 5 day visit... If I remember correctly, isn't there Always a photographer available when a character is out and about? Not to mention the character meals...Additionally, it seems to me that I buying photos after the fact piecemeal is very expensive and I imagine it's not something I'd be likely to do.
We LOVE PP+!!! In 5 days, I usually have 200-300 pictures on it. There are lots of photographers and if you show them the card they usually take extra shots. Plus you can load all the ride shots on them, which my family has a blast doing. They will ride something multiple times and do different poses for the shots. I think it is worth the $ and way more. Plus it's an easy way to get everyone in your group in the photo instead of someone always missing from it. Did I mention I love it? 8-)

Yes, at the photo shop on the right near the entry. I think it is way easier to redeem in DCA--never a line there when I've been, but almost always a line in DL.

Thanks: we are starting our day on Monday: so with staying at DLH: DCA will be our early morning start :sulley:

That wasn't the case with us (we received our PP+ yesterday). We got a disk of Disney pictures and a voucher but no lanyard. We may however get one when we redeem the voucher, I'll keep everyone posted after we return.

When I did this in 2013: I exchanged my voucher for my lanyard at the photo shop on main street DL yet I just learned the same is true for DCA at their photo shop.

This is correct. When you receive the package, it contains a CD of gallery images and a voucher to bring to the parks to exchange for your pp+ card. It is just a lanyard with a card attached...no clear pouch.

I ordered my photo pass plus yesterday for my June trip. I have only done this once before a couple years ago. I remember where to go (unless it's changed in the last couple years) but don't remember what time they open?

what's the best time to go exchange the voucher ?
