Firstly bit upset, put all our ID numbers into photopass.

DH photo with the frog - no frog :sad2:

Quite a few of us had photo done with simba - photos there no simba :sad2:

We all had different photos done with balloons - none :sad1:

Do you think it is worth ringing up?

I am not at the stage where I can add borders, crop photos etc.

A question.

If I have a photo that I like, can I say add a border of mickey and then save it, then use the same photo for another border and save it? If the answer is yes to this does the original photo stay the same??

Also sorry one more question............... I have noticed that where my photos are saved there are "general" photos of each park, does this get added to my cd for free, or can I add them or ???

Also sorry one more last question :flower3: we did pay for a few photos as the character meals and did not add some of them to the photopass. If I find the receipts can I add them now??

I would also be sad about the special effects. My comments are in red as far as I am able to help. Hopefully someone can fill in the blanks. As a matter of interest, did you view your photopass photos at the parks from time to time at any of the picture centres? Just wondering if the effects were there before.

Do you think it is worth ringing up? Yes. You have nothing to lose. Do you need a cheap USA access code?

If you are going to print them all as 4x6 make sure you save them as 4x6. The default is 5x7 and will crop the border slightly if you print 4x6. If you want to print both you need to save each photo as both. You have to do this for each individual photo.

Yes, you should be able to get them. There have been a few reports of people who selected them and didnt, but since these are Disney's own pics it should be easy to remedy by a phone call or email - i.e. they don't expire in 30 days like yours do.

You can add them at the parks at any stage. I don't know if you can add them now. If you are phoning anyway it is worth asking though while you are within your 30 days.

Hi,

No I did not because I thought if we viewed whilst there we would get alot less time when we came back - my fault.

Yes you kindly gave me the number to put before the america number to get it cheaper.

So still confused, with the "disney own" photos do they automatically add them to the CD or do I somehow need to do this? There are some nice photos on there.

The stock photos of the parks ate not on your CD but you can use then in a photo book or buy a CD with them on.

When addin your borders if you want more than one different size/border you will need to go back to the original and then make the second edit otherwise you just change the first edit. Hope that make sense.

Also as mentioned before you need to choose the size you want to print by going to the sizes on the top right and choose the photo print size not download.

You explained it so much better than I did Elise :):thumbsup2

My memory is a bit hazy on this but they did issue prompts advising how long was left for editing. I seem to think they went to my email address, but I could be wrong. If you rememeber when you registered your card (looks like the day you posted this thread) you can work it out. They won't send out a reminder until nearer to expiry though.

A bit off topic, but the prices on photopass are crazy!

We didn't get many photos, so I was a bit naughty and grabbed the (admittedly lo-res versions) photos for free, which will do a job for computer photo albums/facebook :)

They don't seem to mind. The only thing that causes a problem if it is SERIOUSLY busy is that bottlenecks are formed at the viewing spot after the ride while people try and snap a copy of their photo and once I heard some folk grumbling about it at the cashier because they had not been able to view their picture :confused3 It's not the PP photos that are so pricey it is the ride pictures you buy. It is around $25. Last year I only bought one from Splash Mountain. Very nice quality picture albeit on VERY thin photopaper. But as you say, if you got one ride pic from each park it would put you over $100 for four photos - now that is ludicrous IMO! :scared1:

The ride photos are not available on photopass with the exception of Test Track. I wish they would add more attractions to the list especially since we are paying $99/$149 to purchase it!

I mean I got the pictures from the photopass site for free, not snapped the ride pics at the entrance.

Agree tho about having ride photos on photopass (more than just test track which we didn't even ride this time!!) would be a great addition :)

Last year we had photos with Missing balloons, totally missing photos and photos of other people.
I sent off an email, I think they have a section on the site to do this, telling them dates of pics and approx times, they sorted every one.

Hi,

They emailed me yesterday so say sorted the missing balloon from the photo and added the missing simba to the photos.

Still waiting for them to add a frog and find missing photos of the balloon.

My sister for some reason reckons we only have until the 8th september to sort?????? but we only added them on monday - not sure where i can find the date on my photopass number to check though.

Hi

I notice above that 2tiggies mentions in their post that if you want to print 6x4, to save your photos that size as the default is 7x5.

Can I just check that the resolution of the photos you get on the photopass CD are good enough to print larger than 7x5, as I was hoping the resolution is good enough to use the photos as computer backdrops and to be able to print them up to about 10x8 size if I want.

Can anyone who has a photopass CD confirm for me what the resolution of the photos are that you get on the CD?

Thanks

I don't know what the res is, but you can blow them up easily to an 8x12 with brilliant clarity. The photographers won't be using under a 5 meg res camera and probably much better than that. Unless you want large canvas prints, you will be pretty safe blowing them up to large sizes.

Just a point of note: I don't know if you meant to say save 6x4 as 7x5, but you need to save each pic in the format you will be printing. It is time consuming but it if you think you may want the 7x5 ratios, even for enlargements, then save each picture as both for optimal flexibility.

The expiry date for each photo will be shown below it in the edit section.

The ratio of the photo only matters on the ones with borders the originals are ok to print at any size.
