Lol, I have read so many different things about this and am uber confused. :confused3

What is the best way to purchase the CD? How does it all work?

Thank you to anyone that is willing to dumb this down for me :)

The last few times I have been it was with band, so we obviously didn't do these things. The last time I went on a "family" trip was in like 92 so everything has changed :rotfl:

It is my oldests birthday on the 29th, my special leap day baby so I am going to get as many pics taken as I can to make a special album for her afterwards.

My recommendation is to purchase the gallery CD with the bonus voucher from the little store across from Soarin'. I get bunches of picts taken, tell them I'm buying the CD and ask for magic shots. Then, when I get home (or in the hotel if I brought my laptop) take a look at my photos, change sizes (make sure to save each as an 8 x 10 so that I get better resolution if I want to do something else with them) and save them, add borders and save in bunches of different sizes. Then, when I'm ready, order the CD, use the voucher code (and get free shipping).

Have fun!

I am a LEAP Day baby too! How "old" will your son be???

I agree to buy the CD with the voucher in it. Just go in and ask for it...It says right on it, voucher for photopass CD inside. The one I just bought was green!

Sorry for the threadjack, but I'm just super curious... if you're a Leap Day baby, do you celebrate on Feb. 28th or March 1st in the other years? My sister was born on Feb. 27th in a leap year and I was so disappointed that she missed that magical day lol.

Personally, I did on the 28th, since it is still in my "birthday" month! But really, it ends up both days. But really, I am not a big fan of that being my birthday, except every 4 years when I have a "real" birthday!!!

Good news is I am only going to be 9!! ;)!

Ha see I'd have so much fun with that! I'd go out when I was 84 years old, but hand the bouncer at a bar my ID and tell him it was my 21st birthday lol.

It's really easy to use and do, but do purchase the "Photo Gallery CD Disney's PhotoPass PhotoCD Value Pack" from the camera store (I have mine right in front of me so I had the exact title. It was I think $59.95 in the park. Don't worry if you forget you can still order the CD online, just not with the gallery photos. When I bought mine, I was so worried I was buying the wrong thing, haha, the girls at the counter didn't really understand what I wanted when I was telling them for whatever reason.

Anyhow, so make sure you don't lose your photopass cards and you can collect/get/have as many as you do (sometimes we end up with several). I saw some people writing their names on their's or taking pictures of the codes. I thought these were great ideas incase you loose them.

go to www.disneyphotopass.com within 30 days of taking your pictures and enter all your cards to load them to your photopass account. Then you have 30 days after that to edit them, add borders, pick the sizes, etc. You can easily turn 60 pictures into hundreds if you are like me. There is no limit to how many photos you can put on a CD. If your kids do the Jedi Training Academy, the camera store can download those photos to your photopass card and you can add it to your CD. Once your photos are loaded to your account you will see an expiration date, so keep track of that. If you find you need more time, you can buy an extension 7days or 14 days for a great price.

I love photopass, it's the only way we can get all 3 of us in photos. I drive my DH crazy as I'm always saying let's take a pic and making him stop, but he finally gets it now.

Have fun!!!

She will be 1 this year! Finally lol. She is so excited to turn 4, it is the first year she really "gets" it. I keep telling her that she is only turning 1 and she goes "you kidding me momma!" :rotfl:

We do our family party on the 28th for her, since it is still February. But her party is on whatever day works for everyone that is close to her bday. This year her party won't be until 3/18 but that is because of our vacation and we wanted to do it on a weekend that her best friend can come. Her dad refuses to let her go to bday parties on his weekends with her so I wanted to do it on a weekend her mom has her. Plus it is my bday on 3/15 and MILs bday on 3/17 so we will do a Princess party for all of us :cool1:. Of course K will be the main focus.

On her state ID card, it has her bday, but the "under 21 until" date is 2.28. So she gets to drink a day early  haha.

Thank you SOOOO much. This is the exact info I was looking for and super helpful. I already told hubby I am going to be a pain about pictures, he gets it I think...haha. I really want pictures off all of us. I am usually the one taking the pictures so we have none with all of us.

DEPENDS on the state laws, I was from CA, but I went to college in WA and those laws were different....I went out on the 28th and was told big fat SORRY!!!!!!! It was awful...everyone was out with me and I got turned away! Used my fake and all was good!

Ok, yeah. I didn't even think that she might go out of state to college lol. That is way too far down the line for me to think about right now.

So at the store near Soarin' you pay for the CD then and they give you a voucher to use later? Did I get it right?

I just wanted to jump in here & say that I was wondering about something specific to DisneyLAND photopass, on allears.net they say that if all you have on your cd is photos from California your cd is only $60.00

Is this true? I usually do the pre-order with WDW to save money, but don't want to do that if it's only $60 if they're all from cali.
Any input?

katt789 - yep, it's all your photo's from DLR, CAP and the Disney Resort Hotels :0) It's awesome they are all on it and divided into each different area.

Jumping in with a question here...
How often do they update the photo CD? We were there in Oct 2010 and purchased the gallery CD, and will be back in Oct 2012. Will the pics be different? I'm pretty sure they hadn't added World of Color to the one we had, and I'd love some of those.
Thanks!
PS, even if it is the same, it is still cheaper to buy the Gallery Cd and then order at home, correct?
