Photopass CD update - if you didn't get a CD in the parks, please read!

I apologize if this has already been posted, but I did a search and couldn't find it. I sent an e-mail to Photopass asking if I could buy a CD of all my photos online. I just received this response:

"Thank you for your interest in Disney's PhotoPass CD product. Currently, this product is only available at Epcot's Camera Center, M. Mouse Mercantile in the Grand Floridian Resort, and at Toontown in the Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, this product is not currently available online at DisneyPhotoPass.com.

We are working with our partners in merchandise on a process which will allow us to take orders and fulfill these requests directly from Walt Disney World. We expect to have this new process in place by the end of January.

The cost of this PhotoCD product is currently $99.95 for all photos associated to your PhotoPass IDs. Please note that this cost is subject to change.

We will extend your Disney's PhotoPass photos for an additional 30 days to ensure that you will be able to order the CD product once the fulfillment process has been established. Please reply to the email with all of your Disney's PhotoPass numbers so that we can ensure all of your photos will be extended. Within the next few weeks, we will notify you via email with an update on how you can purchase this product from home."

This is great for me, because the photos I wanted added up to more than $99 even with the discount. :banana: :banana: :banana:
 
THanks for posting that. We are going in Feb. and I am not sure if we want to take advantage. It's good to know that that we can wait until we get home if we need to. :earsboy:
 
Before you have a picture CD burned for a total cost of $106.00 make sure you check all your photos carefully ! I made the big mistake of not checking them until I got home. I actually went to the PhotoPass website to look at them and imagine my surprise to find that the pictures of my DD 7 & 3 's princess makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique were not on the cd but the pictures of some other child's were ! I am calling tomorrow to find out who to contact about this. I am so disappointed my DD's were so excited and that moment may be gone forever if they can not recover the pictures the photographer snapping them took.

I don't think she was very well trained. I saw quite a few new prospective photographers being trained during our stay (Sept. 23-30 2006) They were not that busy when we arrived so there was really no excuse for the mix up. And all I can think is that some other Mother is looking for pictures of her DD's day at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and is staring at pictures of my two DD's and feeling the same surprise and disappointment that I did. If anyone has any contact number to r ectify this I would appriciate it. I know they can find the pictures because when I had the CD burned they also had to search for the pictures another photographer took of my dd's in the Magic Kingdom. I'm crossing my fingers.

Hmmm...I was able to order the CD from home back in May. I had to do some digging around the Phtotpass site to find out how to do it. I was also stunned they were able to access a couple pictures that were well over the time limit (though 99% of them were lost). I still had the Photopass ID's, and I made clear in my email that they were old numbers ( I think someone has to research you pics).

On the bottom of the Phtotpass home page click on the link that says "about Disney's phtotpass service" Then click on the link at the fifth Mickey-head bullet. That tells you how to order it from home.

To address the above poster, asi said above, I think in some cases a person has to research your photos. There is an email link on the webpage if you tell them what happened, and do it promptly, they might be able to fix the situation.
 

I had the CD burned in Downtown Disney . That is when they had to search for the missing pictures from them Magic Kingdom from 9/24 and found them, all I had to do was give them the date and time we had the pictures taken and she put them in my photopass account. So I am hoping they will be able to recover these as well. I will be calling Disney tomorrow, my DH still has the sales slip so there may be a number to call there if not I will contact DIsney by phone to get a number.

Yes, I too was able to order my cd online as well! Just go to the photopass website and then to the FAQ part of the site, the link for the cd will be there:)
 
When you order your Photopass CD from home, can you add the borders, take out red eye, etc as you would at the GF or wherever else you can pick up your Photopass CD? I think I am finally going to do this in Oct. since my dm and inlaws are going with my family of 4 and it would be so much easier to do this once home rather than on our last day.
Also, if my last day at the park is AK and I have to go home the following morning, how will I get the pictures from AK? Can I get them that evening?
If I can do this all from home, I will opt to do that.

You can no longer get any enhancements (borders, signatures, dates) when you buy the CD whether its bought at WDW or at home. They decided that it just took too much time I guess.
