Photopass CD prepurchase

I pre-ordered my CD about two weeks ago and I have not received an email with a code either. The $99.95 was charged to my credit card...do I have to contact PhotoPass to get the code so I can complete my order now that I have my pictures attached to my account?

squirtsmom,

After I pre-paid the cd, I received a comfirmation email with the code I would use to actually order the cd after the trip within a few minutes, if I remember correctly. I would suggest you go back and check emails around the time you ordered, and if you have a spam filter, you may want to check it as well. If you can't find it, I would definitely go ahead and contact photopass. The sooner you get them involved the better.

I just ordered my CD last night, and I'm getting 609 pictures. the only additional cost is $7 shipping I had to pay.

I can't wait to have them all in my hands. They will go nicely with the 1,700 pictures I took myself. Not bad for an 11 day trip. :lmao:

We are doing a GRAND GATHERING in 2 days. I received an email w/ a code to get $50 off the CD, for a total of $99.95 or whatever. My question is.....can you combine 2 photopass cards onto 1 CD? Our family of 4 is going with another family of 5 & we both want our own PHOTOPASS cards but would like to split the cost of $99 between the both of us. Can we put both photopass cards onto one CD?? HELP?????

Definitely combine all the cards into one account, once you get your cd you can make copies. When you buy the cd you get the copyright. At least this is my understanding! My sis and I wish we had known this 2 years ago. Even if we had paid full price (then $125) and split the cost we would have saved. Unfortunately we each brought our cards home and opened photopass accounts. Live and learn!

So I can pre-order the CD after I get home and look at my pictures? I just use the link above, pre-order the CD, upload my card numbers, then order?????

ok, so if i pre-order post-trip, can i see my pictures first or do I have to give them 100 dollars and then see them?

And my husband thought that I was crazy with over 2000 pictures, LOL. I see I am not the only one who loves to take multiple photos of WDW every trip!!!

You can't look at the pics first, but you can prepay, look at the pics, and then get a refund for the cd price if you decide you don't want it.

I leave on Wed. the 23rd and have no idea how to pre-order our photopass. Can someone post the link? Thanks

We leave on the 23rd too! I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Gonna pre-order my photopass CD today, thanks everybody for the link/reminder!

Sorry if this question is asked a ton, I've searched for it and not found this answer specifically.

From what I've read you own the Photopass photos, so I assume that these can be used to upload (with no problems) into albums through sites like snapfish and shutterfly. Is this correct?

Thanks.

Yes, you own the pictures. You can go to Walgreens or Target or CVS and have Christmas cards made (though I LOVE The ones at the Photopass site) or whatever; you own the rights to them.

As to the extension: things have been crazy since our return in mid August (we're both teachers and all 5 of us have returned to school, plus my latest surgery...) In the craziness, I ordered the CD but forgot to order the Christmas cards. I realized the error last week and emailed Photopass. They re-loaded my pictures for 5 days.

I think it's a wonderful deal. My husband, when he's not teaching, works part time in a photographer's studio. So he's no slouch with a camera. But he loves Photopass! He doesn't have to carry all his heavy equipment, and he's actually IN the majority of the shots!!!

Go to the site and pre-order. Stop every time you see a photographer; it takes about 2 minutes. You'll be thrilled with the pictures (and if not, there's that refund.)

It's win-win!

Here's what you could do: Before leaving the parks, go into one of the photo stores (there's one in each park somewhere close to the entrance) and give them your photopass card or cards. They can combine them into one card and then show you all the pics on a computer screen, so you can at least see them. This doesn't start your 30 days (I asked). It doesn't start til you actually enter your card online. Then when you get home (assuming you liked them) pre-order the CD, then enter your card into your online account and add the borders and stuff.

Glad I found this thread. My kids are 11, 10 and 9 now so they will all 3 be in photos and there can actually be a few shots of the whole family :D
This is great. Thanks again for sharing

Our last trip was very impromptu and came only a couple of months after our previous trip in June  So I was very hesitant about ordering another PhotoPass. With borders we ended up with over 1,800 picture the previous time :woohoo: I did not pre-order before we went in August. We did get a PhotoPass card and had some pictures taken. When I got home, I plugged in the card number on the PhotoPass site and was able to view and edit my photos. I even ordered the pre-order PhotoPass after we arrived home the night before I ordered my CD. I had no problems at all :)

I would also very highly recommend ordering the Disney World Photo Gallery CD for $40.00. It has 385 beautiful shots all around the World, some from all 4 park and some of the resorts. There are way more photos on that CD than are shown on the PhotoPass site :cheer2:

IMPORTANT INFO:
If you want to print your photos in 4" x 6" size, you have to make all the changes to the original 5" x 7" photo before you order the CD. If you want to change the picture size you need to:
1. go up to Product Type and use the pull down menu to get the size you want
2. then you can resize and add the signatures/borders
3. you MUST then hit "Save as Copy"
4. you need to do this every time you make any changes.

The original 5" x 7" size is always kept and any changes add another picture to that pose. This way you will have the option to print out your pictures in the size you want and still keep the borders. So if there are any shots you might want in another size, say 8" x 10", it must be saved in that size using the above steps.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Some of us had to learn this the hard way :rotfl2:

Ok I am confused about this resizing. Are you telling me if I add borders to my pics on the photopass I have to resize them to a 4x6 size? I thought thats the size they are set at and if you want a bigger size then you just click on that size. I am only ordering the CD so I can print myself at home or walgreens.com so any info would be great would hate to just print all pics and have them have stuff cut off

Yes. The "original" pics you view are in a 4x6 format. If you add a border the photopass site defaults that pic to a 5x7, so you need to change the size and save as 4x6, 8x10...whatever sizes you may want to print it as. This is really only an issue for pics with borders because, if you try to print a 5x7 photo with a border as a 4x6, part of the border will be cropped off and look funny/bad.

So if you have a cute pic you really like you really like (and add a border to) you'd need to save it three different times in order to print it as a 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10.

Great idea Playjar!! Thank you--that is exactly what I am going to do! :worship:

Question about Photopass.... My mother prepaid for the CD...but I want to view my pics now... Can I view them and have her use the same code to order the CD? Or is it a one time use code?

Hi Trinity524,
It is a one time only code but you don't use it until you are at the check out. Until then, the cost of the CD will be full price. When the credit your order with the pre-paid code, they deduct the full amount of $149.95 which is really cool since we pay $50.00 less :woohoo:
And yes thesaurinis, on the info page of PhotoPass, in small print, they say all photos will be saved in 5" x 7" format. If you do not save each and every picture, you will lose some of the borders and effects. Please let me know if anyone needs more details about how to do this :)

Just make sure you add the photos to the account that the pre-purchase was made from. You don't want to have two accounts.

You have 30 days after the first photo was taken to upload the photos to an account, then you have another 30 days in which to edit them and place the order.

Since all pics are 5x7 size do i have to use the drop down for each and every picture or only ones with a border or disney image (signature) added to them? I would hate to not do this right and ruin my pics since we have close to 500 and still have today left at the park.
