Has anyone purchased the CD for $99.? It's alot of money but are the photos good quality? Are there available photographers in each of the theme parks?
Thanks.

So happy I did, :thumbsup2 I had no problem finding any photopass photographers they did a terrific job and for the amount of pics I had on there 133 and I was on a solo trip it was soooo worth it, for less than $1. a pic...priceless ...they even came up with alot of unique shots like me holding the balloons on Main St as if I were the vendor and in MGM it looks like I am "wearing" the large Sorcerer's icon hat...Photopass best thing since sliced bread :wizard:

Great value!! We print our own pics...so definitely worth it!! I'm always printing out a couple of pics to send to relatives.

Nice to hear the positive comments! I only have a disposable camera (not so great pics) and thought this sounded like a great idea.
I fly home on a Friday AM - should I pick up the CD at a theme park the night before I go?

Thanks again.

Can you 'enhance' the pictures on the CD? Like the little borders that they have, or red eye?

I just got it last week. We were there for 14 days and thought we were stopping at lots of PhotoPass photographers. I'm not sure how others are racking up hundreds of pictures, because we only had 50. Most are really good pictures, though, so I didn't mind the expense.

There were just two of us and each photographer would only take one or two pictures at a time. If you've got a whole family, are they taking multiple pictures -- everyone, just the kids, each kid alone, etc? How are people getting so many pictures on their disks?

We also didn't do any of the in-park character greet areas except for Mickey at the Judges Tent. Are these areas where you're getting a lot of pictures?

It didn't look like there were PhotoPass photographers at the character locations where characters are out on the street. (Main Street USA, around the Sourcer's Hat, Adventureland, etc.) Were they there and I didn't see them? Again, we skipped waiting to meet many of these characters in the parks because we'd done so many character meals.

They won't put borders, characters, or autographs on the CD. If you want the actual Disney ones they offer, you have to buy the actual photograph.

However, when you get the CD home, it's a photo file that you can edit like any other digital photo. If you have the right software, you can correct red eye, crop, or add clip art to the photos.

You can wait and order the CD when you get home is that correct?
Yes, you can get it on the www.disneyphotopass.com web site. You'll have to pay shipping, but I don't think you have to pay sales tax.

You won't be able to get any discounts online, though. Darn it! That just made me realize I forgot to ask for my DVC discount when I bought mine. Grumble grumble grumble.

Are there any other disounts then the DVC one? I'll have an AP and a DDE card.

Where do you buy the CD's at? I'm definately going to get one next time. There is a DVC discount? How much is the discount?

I've definitely decided to use Photopass - where do you pick it up and pay at WDW? One of the photo centres? I thought I read (somewhere) you can pick your CD up at the GF gift shop.
Any comments?
Thanks

Sorry to get everyone so excited. Before I left, the PhotoPass CD discount was still on the DVC Member Site "Mouse"ellaneous perks page. It's since been removed and has been replaced with a discount for a portrait sitting instead.

If you have a DVC member card with you, it probably wouldn't hurt to ask about the discount. But it looks like it has expired.

We did on our last trip. I never thought I'd spend that much when I take so many pix, but I'm glad I did it this time. We had them take our picture more than usual and it was nice to have me AND DD in the pictures.

We could view the pix before making the decision to buy. The woman who helped us also spent time adding borders and signatures and such - the CD will contain the original picture *and* the enhanced one. I'm not sure you have the option to enhance the photos if you buy them online once you get home - I don't think you can unless things have changed. We bought ours at that big store by Toontown - the one where you can line up for character meet-and-greets.

One other nice thing is that the CD case now has a printed notice that you are allowed to reprint the pix, so you *should* be able to have them printed at Walmart or wherever without an argument that you don't have the rights.

........because so many ppl stood at the kiosks forever!!!having CMs add borders to almost every photopass CD (ME INCLUDED!!!) ...disney no longer includes these free borders on the CD...if u want the cool borders u will need to purchase the photo itself, one at a time, (I did it in toontown while fireworks happened and was standing at kiosk with CM all by myself, meaning...noone else was waiting in line, so I was taking up no one elses time but the CM who was working, and me! I was there 45 min! and my photopass is awesome for $99 !! This was last FEB. We leave in 2 wks and will again do the photopass but with no cool borders cuz they discontinued them on the pass, but we got over 100 pix just from being with every character we found! Mainly in AK in thouse little huts near Lion King show, and in Toontown. Th CM photographers did such an incredible job with our pictures...DO IT !!!!! :bounce:

In addition to the time it was taking to add these items at the kiosk, I think there was also an issue with the copyright on the Disney characters and the release for the CD.
