Photopass + anyone using this soon, please post your experience on return!

I don't understand photopass plus, have never researched the WDW version, and so far I've only ever bought one official ride photo at DLP :rotfl2:.

I don't have a phone which an app will work on, and won't be taking my laptop with me.

So, how does photopass plus work for me? If I wanted to use it for example, do I still need to queue up at every photo CM booth, to get the photos put on my card? Or are they all automatically done? If so, how? I don't understand :confused3. What happens with the photos once they are on my card? Can I put them onto my laptop once at home? Are there any extra charges on top of the photopass plus fee at the beginning, to get my photos?

I have a Fantasy AP, does that get me 20% discount on the photpass plus at DLP?

ok, so not so good feedback:worried:

after few visits to our hotel shop and lots of help from the CM there, she asked her manger for help as when she scan our card she can view all our photos but we can only see 2 from rides online and non from breakfast meet at hotel

and he knew straight away was is our problem - our photos are on card but not online as were incorrectly scan/activated by photographer in the first place, he said we are not the first person with this problem and that the system is not correctly set up from beginning and only what he can do it to print us copy of the missing one...

so now we have 2 photos online and 5 prints, hopefully more will be more added tomorrow and none will be missing as its a little bit worry to think now if the photographer did it correctly or not as it looks he needs to do it different way if he got old paper photopass card and its diffrent if you have new plastic photopass + card

Let us know how it goes! It sounds like there are lots of teething problems :(

I believe you don't have to have internet there for it to work, but without this, I guess it is a case of queuing up to scan as you say. In WDW they scan automatically with your magic band - even on rides (cool!). But clearly DLRP is a bit behind on that!

As for photos, if it's the same as WDW, they are loaded onto a site for you to visit and look at the photos/download as you please. You get so long to download before they are no longer available. You can also order photo gifts from there as it's linked to Fuji. There are no extra charges unless you want to buy prints etc.

I can't help on the AP discount as I'm no longer an AP holder - sorry!

It doesn't surprise me. But it shouldn't happen - they are photos you won't get back :(. It is nice to hear they printed them out for you though. Hopefully teething problems will be ironed out very soon.

Fingers crossed you have no more problems. Really appreciate you coming back to update us though :worship:.

Just back last night and downloaded our pics tonight - got shareholder discount so got it for 42 euros and came away with over 90 photos. They have it at main attractions with photos (they initially said Buzz wasn't currently being offered but I got it added at the ride) and main character locations such as Mickey, Princesses and Liberty Arcade photo opps. Worked well and got plenty of pics. Wasn't on offer at Cafe Mickey at dinner time on Saturday so not sure if it's on offer at another time there (doesn't seem feasible given the setup). Really worth the money - file sizes aren't huge and it's a shame the character signatures aren't added to the pics but not a major problem. For the price of around 3 photos it's so worth it - hopefully they'll add more locations and photographers in due course.

I considered buying this when we were in the park earlier this month but I didn't really understand how it worked and neither did the CM I asked at the photo desk in the boutique!

I'm impressed with how you collected 90 photos on it - how many different characters or rides roughly was that if you don't mind me asking?

So what do you now do with all these photos to keep them for more than their one year life expectancy on the pass? Do you put them directly onto your own computer or external hard drive? If so, how? How do you print them out if you want to and how much would the 6 x 8 size we buy in the park be? We usually buy between 5 and 10 of these each time we visit so I'm not sure if the cost of buying the card then paying for prints afterwards would be cost effective or not. I want the prints at least for the time being as DS has two 6 x 8 print photo albums (portrait and landscape) especially for his professional Disney prints.

Presumably we have to buy a new card for every trip? Sorry for so many more questions but I'm still confused about it all. :confused3

Thanks for all the updates :thumbsup2.

Maleficent_man - it is a shame that Cafe Mickey wasn't included. Were the Halloween characters included like in Maleficent's court? Or was it just the standard characters?

I am really on the fence about this. I wonder how long I have to purchase in advance before we go? I think it has the potential to become great, but I think it will take a while imho.

The folder of pics can be downloaded - down side is there are no apparent signatures to add but this may get added in the future.

You can print them yourself as they provide sign off for you to do so.

Yeah each card is valid for 10 days from first use. No probs on the questions!! :thumbsup2

Does anyone who has ordered or downloaded been able to add signatures from any character locations to their pics?:confused3

Does anyone know if the photos from the Princess make-over can be added to this? It will save us a fortune as we do tend to buy quite a few photos each trip.

There's never been photographers at cafe Mickey or inventions. Pity though as that would make it well worth the money.

I've got lots of official CM photos too x. This photo pass seems good value. Could someone please explained. Is there instructions on how to get photos on card and is it easy to do x

No way! Unfair. Why have we never had official photos! :( in 10 visits!! We must go at the wrong time of day/year. Been twice in May, twice October and once November. And again in 4 weeks time.
