I am unsure about the PhotoPass +. Will that include the photo at Chef Mickey's or do I still pay additionally for that to be included on the CD? What is the current price for the photo at Chef Mickey's? Thanks for the help!

We loved the photopass + because we do lots of character dining. Our kids love that more than souvieners. If you have 3 character dining experiences or more, the upgrade pays for itself. They add the images to your card AND give you the picture package. We always preorder our CD but be prepared to pay the full cost to upgrade. I did not plan on forking over the extra $80, but it was worth it because I am one of those people who always get suckered into buying pictures of my kids. They also include the downloads from Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster, and several more. I am not sure how much Chef Mickey's photo package cost, but most are just under $30.

When did they start doing this ???

Last time I bought Photopass, I had to pay separate for all the dining photo's and the only ride photo that you could add was test track. That said, once you bought the dining photo package, you could add it to your Photopass by using the numbers along the side of the picture.

I always found it was worth it because we've always ended up with over 200 pictures by the time we ordered the CD.

Chef Mickey's is probably about $30.

Regular Photopass doesn't include all those extras. Photopass Plus does.

The problem I am having with PhotoPass + is that we are going down with 2 families, you only get 1 photo package per meal on the photo + card- so we will need to pay for our photo packages inaddition to our photo + if we want each family seperate- we are going to be on vacation together for 10 days, but both families want a photo or 2 without the other family. I don't think it is fair that you cannot get more than one package - we are 9 people.

AS others have stated but just making it clear: If you purchase photopass plus you show your card to photo taker and they will put pics onto your account and when they bring around print packages they just hand it to you no extra charge. The print packages to buy outside of plus cost 31.95 i believe.

If you each buy your own Photopass + card, you'll each get your own print package. Do you all have to sit together when you eat or are you comfortable not sitting together? Don't forget to make separate reservations so you each get your own print package.

OR, you could share the Photopass + card (if one family is willing to have a runner go out and meet you at the end of the line to give you the + card) so that you can get your free photo package.

Except for Tusker House in Animal Kingdom (which will upload the digital pictures to the + card), you have to go yourself to a Photopass station to have your digital prints uploaded. So, it's not like the photographer will actually see your photopass # and say "hey, someone else just used that #"

I knew I could count on a speedy reply. Sounds like I'll be pre-ordering the Photopass+:)

I had our CRT ones uploaded to card ( yes I know it's included in price), and I didn't know to show at Donald's for scanning but pp person who helped me that afternoon said to show/have scanned at each meal. And if they are all sitting at same table wouldn't person bringging packages around question 2 packages at one table?

When I called yesterday to ask a # of questions- I was told that only 1 picture package per meal could &/or would be able to go onto the photopass + card. So there really is no way for our families to share the card and not be in all the meal pictures together or have one of the families not get a photo. Now we are trying to figure out if it will be worth it to get 2 seperate photopass + accounts ~ we do all the big rides and have a sit down meal (not all have picture packages) each of our 10 days.:scratchin

we ate at chef mickeys the end of june and when we handed our photopass card to the giuy, he said "no, we don't use photopass."

so their photos are separate.

When I was at CRT (in May 2012), they wouldn't add it to our card and "begrudgingly" said they were able to "accommodate" us (not sure on what, since all 3 of us had individual reservation numbers and only asked to be seated together since the CM at the front said we would still each get our own individual print packages) NOTE: CRT already comes with the print package as part of the meal so the photopass + doesn't give you anything extra except adding the digital prints to the card. I asked if we got an extra print package (because, if so, I would have wanted one with all 3 of us). I was told NO extra print package (both in person and via disneyphotopass.com.).

For CRT and Akershus, we were able to get our digital prints added (for each of us, there were 3). You take the receipt from the print package to a Photopass station and the person there will add the prints to the card (not the photopass photographer taking the pictures)

Tusker House CM told us that they were the only ones able to add the digital prints to our card.

At every other character meal we ate (except Tusker House) - we ate at Hoop Dee Doo Revue & Akershus - we were told to bring the receipt for the character print package (that came free with the + card) to any Photopass Station to have the digital prints added.

For the poster who was wondering whether to get a photopass + card for each family, think of it this way, are you planning to do lots of character meals? Only Akershus & CRT includes the photo package as part of the price of the meal. Every other character meal charges $25-35 for the pictures. If you do plan to eat at the other 4-6 locations and buy the picture, then it is worth it to do the +. Same thing with ride photos.

And, I would make sure to have separate dining reservations for each family so each family gets their own print package. At Akershus, you can't be seated together. At CRT, you can (the CM at the front just notes in the reservation about whom you would like to be seated with).

At Akershus, sis was seated at a table for 4, I was seated at a table for 2, my BFF was seated at a table for 4. So, they wasted two tables because they weren't willing to seat us together (unless we combined our reservations and only got one print package). The good thing that came out of that was, instead of the family style desserts (where the table shares), we each got our own trio of desserts!
