We are getting married at the WP at 7:30pm and having a reception until 1:30. We are going to see each other before the ceremony to have most of the pictures out of the way so we can go to the cocktail hour. How many hours should we have the photographers? I would like them to get us getting ready, some of me in my dress, and we have a large bridal party of 16 people. We are using the roots so we have 2 photographers and are trying to figure out the hours. Thanks!

hmm, well... what time do you think you'll start getting ready? Is it important to you to get the very early "getting ready" pics. like you getting your makeup done, you getting your hair done (if you'll be having those 'done')... pics of the dress on the hanger before you've gotten dressed? If that's the case you're going to want a few hours before the ceremony starts to get that stuff out of the way, and then to get all of the shots that you want all dressed and pretty, with your bridal party, with DF, with anyone else....

Then there's the Ceremony pics. Will you have pics at the reception also?

I want as many pics as I can possibly get, so I'm going with an 8 hour package for the day. It fits my budget, and it seems like I'll be able to get it all in..... or we'll die trying! :rotfl:

Yes, I want all of that. I am not sure what time I will start getting ready, but I will be the last one getting my hair and makeup done and I want all the dress shots and then all the ones when we are all dressed and pretty. We have 8 hours right now, but I really think we are going to need more, especially since we are going to be seeing each other beforehand. We will also be taking pictures at the reception. Do you think we will need to have them until 1:30am?

I am scheduling mine for 7 hours. I am not going to have her there until the end of the reception. I think through cake cutting and all the big reception stuff like bouquet toss, garter toss, and anything else is what I'm going for. I don't know how I'll look at the end of the reception! ;)
