I'm finally ready to add a few pics. I have been recovering from knee surgery so my mobility isn't the greatest yet.

Emergency - This was as close as we could get. It was a 2 Alarm fire in an empty restaurant

Pet being Silly - my DD's cat helping with the laundry

Snow Scene - my DD's backyard

Blizzard - it's hard to tell because of the exposure and the fact that it was late at night but the snow was coming down at over an inch an hour

My car stuck in the snow - it took 4 hours to dig it out

Soups On - if you look you can actually see the steam

Snowman - my DGS's built it notice the abs

Smart Car - not the best pic but the light changed just as I got the camera turned on

This really isn't a Floyd bomber hat although the flaps can be attached on the top of the hat. It's the closest I have actually been able to get

Well, I did manage to get out this weekend!! Here are some photos to add:

G'Day (Australian Culture related)

What is more Australian than a day at the cricket? Yesterday Australia played England in a one day day/night cricket match at the 'Gabba in Brisbane.

Sunset:

Not great, but showing a bit of the changing colours of the clouds.

I claim no "points" for this one, but I'm afraid I won't get anywhere near a Zamboni (didn't even know what one was until I googled it!! ) . Anyway, this would be the Australian summer "equivalent", I would have to think!! This is the roller that rolls the cricket pitches between innings. The captain of the team about to bat decides whether they use a heavy or light roller (I have no idea what difference each one makes), and the groundsmen roll and prepare the pitch prior to the innings starting.

Just a quick hello from Oklahoma, I have to say that I am very excited about our weather the next couple of days. There is a blizzard starting as we speak. I know that sounds crazy, but I am thing about all the great photo I will be getting. I will take a little (8-12inches) white over the plain brown anyday. I am most looking forward to trying to get a snowflake. I do hope that I don't run into any problems like Don, and his poor eye, and I have already had surgery on my knee so none of that either . Well I am going to go get some great shots wish me luck.

Good luck Michelle!! While you are waiting for your snow, over here we are hunkering down before a very large cyclone (hurricane) hits north Queensland. It shouldn't affect us here in Brisbane until it becomes a rain depression and drops inches of rain on already soaked ground!! Oh well, Mother Nature has her ways of testing us, I guess!!
Take care - no falls for you after your knee surgery, and I look forward to seeing your snowflake photos.

I didn't think I would be able to get a breath in cold air in Texas, but I got it!!

The hazy stuff in front of the blue blanket on the horse in the back is Ivan's breath.
