In order to get points you have to show the celebrity.
Miss Disney, I'm reversing my decision ;) as my DH pointed out the person in the picture. I thought the blonde hair was a light and was looking for the person on the other side of the piano. You can get points for it. :thumbsup2

Can you belive that I went to the zoo with my kiddos today, and never even thought to check my battery, and would'nt you know it my camera died not even half way thru. Here are the shots I got before my camera died.

LOVING all these photos!!!!!

Linda-enjoyed your DS's photos!:thumbsup2

Andy-seems like there are quite a few of us from Massachusetts-at least 5 of us.

OK...I got out the Nikon again. I really have to read the book on the Panasonic. I took DS with me to pick DD up from basketball because I saw the weathervane on the concession "shack" for the high school athletic field last week. We saw a few other things along the way too.

Rodent-I think the camera was a bit fogged up for this photo

We stopped at the cemetery on the way home. It was getting pretty dark by then.

There are a lot of VERY old gravestones here but I couldn't read the dates on many. The oldest is from 1706. http://www.cohassetcentralcemetery.com/history.htm

Gravestone-wife died Sept 5, 1856 age 21, son Aug 14, 1862 age 6 yrs, 3 months. Mom must have died just a few months after her son was born.

Island:
IMG_2616cropped.jpg

(This is Coochiemudlo Island [the name is pronounced as it is written!], in Moreton Bay. I was at Victoria Point to take the photo. And yes, the tide was out! It is very muddy there when the tide is out!)

ColleenG - thanks for your Las Vegas shots! I was there in May before going to WDW so they are bringing back good memories!!!

Loving all the photos - I hope you are all enjoying summer!!!

Barber Pole I was interested to see that most of the poles posted are red, white and blue - you don't see them very often over here any more but they are just red and white. Barbers used to be amateur surgeons and do bloodletting, too, so the colours represented that.

Victorian My son sang in a Choir Festival at Wellington College this week. This is a school opened for orphans of army officers, in memory of the Duke of Wellington, who defeated Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert actually laid the foundation stone.
