Too cute!

Here's a "baby" announcement I created for family and friends using Creative Memories Storybook Creator 2 (scrapbooking) software. Some of you may have seen this on my puppy thread on the Community Board.

Love this! They look great together! How are things going, BTW?

It's been a long time since we've had such a "baby" puppy. She just turned 8 weeks yesterday and we've had her for a week now. DH just gave her a bath. (She stunk!) She hated every second of it. She's sleeping it off now. :)

These are my favorite recent photos of Greta (and big sister Maya):

And this one that DH took of her this weekend - as some of you may remember, we lost Ruby - a German Shepherd who did search and rescue work - in December. We chose Greta because she shows intelligence and seems to have a good nose (and because she kind of chose us). You can tell that DH is hoping...

Awesome pictures, Dodie. This one, of course, along with the story, brought a tear to my eye. :sad1: Greta's got some big shoes to fill, but I'm sure she'll do a wonderful job.

Oh my goodness, Dodie! She is SO cute! I love how her eyes tilt towards each other. :lovestruc I bet she will be a wonderful search & rescue dog!

We get our puppy at 11 this morning! I am so excited, I hardly slept a wink last night!

All I can say is get ready for some more sleepless nights! :rotfl:

Well I haven't posted any new pics of my girl in a while, haven't had many good ones. However, I did get a new toy, er, camera, last week so hopefully I'll be getting lots more.

She's so happy to have her photo taken, and she'll of course come anywhere. This was taken yesterday on the beach where it was freezing cold with gale force winds (literally) - a bit too nippy to put the ears up, LOL. :cold:

I took these pictures today of my weimaraner, Remington. He will be 12 next month. Today was the first day in a really long time that the weather was nice enough to play outside.

Here are my kitties.
I got them all at different times, and they still like each other. (most of the time):lmao:

Very nice:thumbsup2

Love the thread, but I admit I haven't scrolled through the 50+ pages looking for this so I apologize if you've covered it.

The pictures are great, but I have one question...Any tips for not have the flash back in their eyes? I foster cats and dogs; today's new kitty had flashed eyes in every shot :-( My photo editor can't fix it - maybe there is an editor that works for pet eyes?

I'd fill the next 50 pages if I posted my foster babies pictures :-)

Here is one of my favorites - learned how to use the mirror to get the color behind her.

The best way to avoid the "green" eye in pet photos is the same as Red eye in people, don't shoot the flash right at them, bounce it, in order to do that you need a movable external flash or some sort of reflector.

You can also do something as simple as placing a piece of copier paper in front of the flash. But you may have to adjust the exposure to compensate.

Or better yet, don't use the flash at all.

If you have to shoot indoors try to use as much natural light as possible. Bump up the ISO a bit.

And a composition tip when shooting pets: fill the frame.
