Photographing Pets

Our chocolate lab, just waking up from a snuggly nap on the couch today.

Not pet pictures, but this little guy lives somewhere in our yard with his family. I obviously couldn't get close before he showed me his backside.

These are heavily cropped

He is a great puppy! Keep the pics coming. Hoping to watch him in pictures his entire first year and then some! I can't believe he drools! :rotfl::rotfl:

His mom is a corgi and his dad is sneaky neighbor dog!! The people I got him from and the vet seem to think border collie. Not St Bernard like some people seem to think!! :scared1:

Really? That's so funny! My family's dog that passed away last summer was a corgi- german shepherd. I'll have to post some pics of her! Her mom was a nine month old corgi, dad was a 13 yr old German Shepherd that crawled under the fence to get to her!

Lucie's been very helpful at letting me play with my new Nikon D60, I'm actually using manual settings trying to figure out what I'm doing- not just automatic or scene modes! They don't always come out great, but I'm trying to learn.

I just really liked how Buster's wings looked in this one.

Took Jonas with us to a local State park today. Didn't really want to take him, but I didn't know how long we would be gone and I don't want him in his crate more than 3 hours at a time right now.

I know the leash is HUGE, but it's the only one we have. He usually isn't on a leash since we live in the country but I didn't want to be a rule breaker at the park!!

He was happy to lay down on the cool concrete...

Here he is with DD so you can see how big he's getting. He turned 9 weeks old on Saturday and he just hit 11 pounds.

Must have taken after Dad for sure.... really long legs for the corgi side! :lmao: But Jonas is still a cutie!

There were 4 puppies in the litter. Two with short legs and two with long legs. He looks almost exactly like one of his brothers except for the legs. :goodvibes

I just got through all 100 pages of this thread! Everyone's animals are so beautiful. I'm sorry for everyone who's recently lost a dear pet and I wish you all the best of luck moving forward. :grouphug:

These are my beautiful babies. We call them "The Girls".

Scooby-Dee. 13 years old. We're told she's a beagle-shepard mix but we got her at the pound so there's no telling for sure. She is just the sweetest old lady.

Spaghetti. She's a two year old miniature poodle. We found her running off of the golf course by our house in the pouring rain. We took her home and put up signs for a month and no one ever called about her so now she lives with us!

Bella at 7 months. She is a Shipoo (half Shih tzu and half Toy Poodle). This was taken last summer at a park. It's one of my favorites. She is 1.5 years old now. Not the best quality photo, it was taken with my cellphone but it's still one of my favorites.

What a beautiful picture!!:thumbsup2

Thank you! Feedback means a lot to me. I just got my camera in February and I'm really a complete beginner-you should see my trash basket..ugh. I think I'd get a higher return rate panning for gold in a swimming pool. But I work on it every day. So I'm getting better. I'm going back to school in the fall so I'll be able to get cs4 and photoshop elements for free, which will allow me to learn some post production skills.

You really don't look like a beginner at all! Very well done.

Best of luck to you in school!

This was a funny photo I took the other night!
Not great quality but it was a spur of the moment gotta grab it candid. It was midnight and I was working at my computer. I heard the cats making a ruckess so I went over to see what was the matter...once I saw this I grabbed my camera and clicked away until the toad took off LOL

Jonas was a little stinky the other day so DD gave him a bath....pardon the freaky flash filled eyes!!

Here is our puppy Gizzie. She was just over 4 months old when this photo was taken which was about 3 months ago. To me she is giving me the look of "I'm going to cause trouble and there is nothing you can do about it!"
