Photographing Pets

So sorry.

I'm so sorry. :sad1: At least you know she's in a better place

I'm sorry, Heather.

Oh, I am sorry for your loss. She was so pretty and you gave her 18 great years.

Thank you everyone! :flower3: We all know how hard it is, and I know she is out of any pain. This morning poor Charlotte (the dog in my avatar) went straight under the stairs to look for Shadow like she did each day - so even dogs can miss cats. :sad2:
It's good to be able to share with like minded people. Thank you.

Not the best picture of my Simba but it the first time I actually got a picture of him sticking out his tongue.

I had to say goodbye to Shadow this morning. She was about 18 years old. Her little body just gave up. Miss you little one. xx[/QUOTE]

So sorry for your loss.

Almost 100 today, so we didn't stay out very long today....usually I have to beg the dogs to come in, but after maybe 15 minutes tops the dogs all ran to the door to go in!!!

Sweet but crazy Jonas!!!

How cute! Lower left looks just like my son's dog. We adopted him fully grown, I think he may have looked like your dog as a puppy!

Here is Maggie in mid launch at the lake. This was shot at iso 800, 1/400, f5.6, 80mm, Nikon D7000. This is her favorite thing in the world, she runs full speed off the dock and launches 15 feet out into the water landing with a huge belly flop.

I got this one of Maggie's older sister Marlie(my mom/ dads dog).

I am LOVING the picture of Hershey and Zeus, that is HILARIOUS!

First, is Lolly, 11 year old Pekingese! She is such a doll, she goes everywhere with us, especially now that we run our own business! We couldn't have asked for a better dog if we had "engineered" one ourselves!

Here is Snowball, Maine Coone mix. She is a VERY sophisticated cat and I swear she poses, but only in a sophisticated manner!

Next is Nala, she is sweet, but she is a wanderer but she is VERY affectionate and playful! She is the one who brought home a stray, pregnant cat who delivered 4 babies on our front porch!

I have some pics of the babies and the mama kitty, but I haven't uploaded them to Photobucket

Rescued this old girl from the shelter today, she was scheduled to be put down at 4:30 today. She was an owner surrender!!! How in the world can you take a 12 year old dog to the shelter??? People suck.

She gets along with two of my dogs, but not the third. We aren't going to keep her, but give her to my mother in law that lives on a farm.

That is unbelievable! I am glad you were able to save her. She looks sweet. 'People suck' is something I say often, sadly:(

GOOD FOR YOU!! And thank you on behalf of all dogs for rescuing her. We need more people like you in this world. This is something I'm very passionate about. And just had to say...she is BEAUTIFUL!! Those beautiful eyes are completely captivating!

Thanks guys. She's a good dog, but we had a small incident last night. I brought her inside last night and forgot to make sure my cats were put up. Well, she grabbed my smallest cat and shook her like a rag doll. :scared1: Thankfully I was right there and screamed and grabbed the dog and she let go and the cat ran away.

Took Autumn (the cat) to the vet this morning after not getting any sleep last night being worried about her. She's got a couple of bite marks, but nothing deep thank goodness. So she is on antibiotic for 10 days to make sure they don't get infected.

I feel horrible, it was totally my fault. :sad1: I should have been more careful, but it was late and I was tired. Other than that she's been a good girl. She slept in the crate all night without making a peep, and right now she's outside on a lawn chair chilling on the patio. I'm just keeping everyone separated now, she did ok with two of the dogs, but I'm not taking any more chances. My DH is taking her to his mother's this afternoon where she will be the only animal there.

She is Heartworm positive, but I talked to the vet this morning and he said that at her age there's no sense in treating it, which is kind of what I figured.

Went to visit my mother in law today to check on the shelter dog we rescued for her. Both my mother in law and the dog are very happy with each other! :goodvibes

Here's a picture of the old dog, with the new puppy that was apparently dumped in the country and has fallen in love with Lita (the old dog) and Lita's maternal instinct is strong and she loves the puppy. :lovestruc
