I know there are videos of Screamin' that give you the sensation of riding on that roller coaster. But, I had my Nikon D300 in tow on the front seat of this great ride and thought I'd share the loop section of the 200+ pictures I took during the ride. I've eliminated a few of them as they are so similar in view but I think these give you a good idea of making the loop. The couple of shots that appear darker are right when the g-forces are at work and "pushing" you into your seat.

Yikes! I am getting butterflies in my stomach just looking at these photos! This is a ride I will never be going on (not a roller coaster person at all), so it is nice to get a perspective of the loop without having to ride the darn thing!

Whoa! Am I the only one who got a bit woozy looking at these? :scared:

These are fantastic pics! I'm still debating on whether or not to go on this ride. I think I scare myself more in the queue lining up for the ride than on the actual ride, itself. :rotfl:

Just sent this to my DH who is having a bad day.

I am not a big coaster fan....and the first time I rode this, I screamed Oh S--- the entire ride. My friends all got off the ride laughing....'THIS IS A FAMILY PARK".

Now we just call it the Oh S---............want to go ride the Oh S--- now????

Thanks for making my DH smile. We will be there in 3 weeks

(and NO, I don't ride it anymore!)

That is great!! Awesome pics! When I scoll down it somewhat fast, I get the sensation of actually being on it! That made my day!! Thanks! :rotfl:

Believe me, I say Oh S--- and much WORSE when I even look at any coasters going upside down, or when I look at that Orange Stinger thing in Paradise Pier! So you are not alone in your language choices for this ride!

Hey, if you scroll down through the pictures at the right speed, it feels like you're on the ride itself! :scared1:

Then do Single Rider. Barely any queue until you're on! No time to get scared, or rather, barely any time.

Seriously, the loop is quick and easy. It's faster to go on than to scroll through those pix. :)

What's hard on Screamin', IMO, is the take-off. The rest is cake compared to that!

Those pics are great! Very cool :cool2: I'm not real good at taking photos, but how did you keep so steady? Mine would've been blurry...:)

WOW can not wait to ride this one, bet i think i'll be riding alone as my boyf never has and probably never will go on a caoster :(

Great pics! I'm amazed that you were able to take such good pictures, whereas I would have been gripping onto the bars the whole time!

WOW!

I LOVE roller coasters and can hardly wait to go on this one! :woohoo: Thanks for the preview!

Criminey!!!!
Wow!!!
You brave soul... you took your D300 on a rollercoaster ride... wow...
I rode that darn thing once and that was it.
I realized that I was too old for rollercoasters from then on... no more cedar point trips for moi... :rotfl:

Do it! I finally went on it in 2006. I was scared to death. There was no line so I didn't have time to chicken out. I got in the seat, put the harness on, and decided I wanted off! But it was too late and the ride left the station. I was freaking out and on the verge of tears. I screamed so loud the whole time. It was super scary. I kept yelling, "I hate this!"

But then...the ride ended. We looked at our photo and I said, "I think I want to ride it again." And we did. And I LOVED it!!!

It's one of my favorites now. I was never a rollercoaster person. I used to get scared on Big Thunder. But now I love Disney coasters. I even went on Rockin' Rollercoaster at MGM and Expedition Everest (the best one!) at Animal Kingdom.

Screamin' is scary the first couple times but it's really fun. I actually like the launch. It's a cool feeling. I'm not a fan of the loop just because I don't like how it pushes me in my seat. But overall, it's a great ride. And it's safe.

However, I recommend sitting somewhere in the middle the first time. The very front and the very back are a bit more intense. After you've gone on it a couple times...then I recommend the first row (for a great view) and the back row (where it feels faster.)

Those pictures are AWESOME!! I can never get any of my pictures to come out that clear!

That is so funny! My 12YO DD did the same thing, only she was screaming OH MY GOSH!! over and over again. I was sitting in front of her, just laughing my head off!

I'm from MI and we used to go to CP every summer! I don't know if I could do any of the coasters there anymore, other than the Blue Streak and the Gemini. The newer ones scare the c-r-a-p out of me now!!

Wow.... great shots!!! I'm actually surprised that the g-forces didn't produce any strange effects by messing up the mirror flap! Looking at your other pics on your site... Post the one just before the loop sequence where you start going down after the chain lift with the scream screen on the right... that one is my favourite!

Wow I'm surprised they let you take photos while on Soaring! Also nice castle shots on day 2 and I like the slow shutter shots of Astro Orbiter and tea cups! Day 3 the sunglasses shop dinosaur is epic. (ya need to photoshop out the crane though! ;)) Too bad about the gray skies on your MM day 5. The early morning Main Street shots woulda looked nice with a little sunrise skies! What??? no shots inside Splash Mountain? I don't blame ya... Thats a nice piece of equipment you got there!

Haha... Looks like they forgot one:
