The prairie dog wasn't behind glass either. I scoped out the cleanest spots. The gorillas throw and smear 'stuff' at/on the glass. Yucky!

Overall the animals seemed to have nice homes. I can't wait to get back to the Stone Zoo- I hear they had a baby jaguar born in the spring and they have the otters- I love watching them
Oh man, this isn't at all what I expected. After looking at the subject, I was expecting to see what real, wild pet rocks look like rather than the domesticated ones. Cute cat pictures, though.
I suggest that you try using a polarizing filter. That will reduce the reflections from the glass. Another trick is to put the camera right up against the glass and to block any space between the camera and the glass with your cupped hand.

You know, I've learned that wild pet rocks are VERY illusive. I have yet to track one down at this zoo nevermind get a photo of one. Then again, I've been taking this friend I work with and she's in a wheelchair(that I am pushing) so I'm not exactly very stealth. Not the best for tracking down these illusive creatures
