Here are a couple of shots that I finally got around to scanning in.

One of my favorite shots. The Christian Radich a 241 Tall Ship from Norway. Sailing into a dock space along the World Trade Center in Boston for the SailBoston 1992 festival. Couldn't have had better timing in getting this shot. The whole harbor was beyond crowded with people. We sat down along the water's edge after walking forever and within 5 minutes this ship came around the corner and pulled up. Taken with my old Nikon N6006.

Too cute!

I love the colors in this one.

I can't wait till I get my new camera and can take some pictures of my kittys.

I'm just not sure which one to get...I know a DSLR would probably be best but my BF has one and it's a bit much for me. So I'm thinking a P&S but I have no clue which ones a good one.

I would say go with a dslr, you can always learn from your boyfriend, and sometimes trial and error is fun too. Plus, you might quickly outgrow the point and shoot. Entry level dslrs are a great way to learn the art of photography as well. Good luck on your choice, and Merry Christmas.

Dave, were you on PCC 2.0? We were just onboard last week.

You lost me, what's PCC 2.0?

DH, DS and myself took the train up from Marvelous Marlton NJ to the B and H camera store in Manhattan. After 2 plus hours of DH hemming and hawing :scratchin he wound up with a Canon Powershot G12 and I got a headache from all the fuss. :faint:

When it was time to leave B and H we went up 34th street and had our breath taken away when we saw what the sunset was doing to the New Yorker building. I whipped out my Nikon D90 and got this shot. I tried to adjust my camera settings and in that quick instant the light had faded. One and done! How elusive is that!!

We were out and about during those magic hours when the light is your friend and it does marvelous things to your pictures.

New York City at Christmas time! Macy's windows rocked!

See the green spot lights at the bottom left side of this picture? If you look at the Macy's Tree light Facade picture you'll know where that green color is coming from at the top of the light tree

So that's my little photo walk in Manhattan at Christmas time. We met up with some friends and had a nice dinner in the city. Then we rode the train back to Marlton and we were as tired as tired can be! Everyone except for me has been snug in their beds for quite some time. I just couldn't resist processing these photos (Photoshop CS4) and posting them to share with you all. DH's Canon is winging it's way here from the shipping dept. at B and H (no sales tax that way). Hopefully it will be here in time for Christmas. I hope all of you have a happy holiday!

:santa:
