We're headed to the mountains this weekend for my brother's college graduation...I'm taking my camera with me and I can't wait to play! I hope to post when we get back! :thumbsup2

Great shot Danny. I would have loved to have been on the climb side of the course.

Thanks, Roger! Being on the climb was very exciting! IMO, this is better than being at the finish line!

Oswego Harbor Sunset (click photo for its flickr page). Not to sound like a broken record...this was also taken with the 18-200VR lens.

For some reason this photo reminds me of the movie, Planet of the Apes (the original). Could that be Taylor in the Forbidden Zone perhaps?

Just bought a Nikon Coolpix S8000 today. Anyone have one so I can look at your pics or have any suggestions/comments?

I just checked some reviews on your new camera and I must say WOW!! That's a nice camera you have there, 14mp,10x zoom very nice. Congrats on the new acquisition. Hope to see some pics posted when you get a chance. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm a "zoom" nut and can't do without it. It was between this one and a Canon. The Canon had more manual functions but since I never learned to use them on my Olympus, why buy them again? ;) The one thing that bothers me is in order to charge the battery, you need to plug the UBS cable into the camera while the battery is in the camera. What if I want to take pictures while I'm charging a backup battery? :confused3 My Olympus charger was separate from the camera. Think I'm going to go on Nikon's website and see if there's something I can purchase. This is something I need, especially for Disney trips. I charge up one battery overnight and another while I'm in the park, and take 2 with me to the parks.

Well thanks again Evad. If anyone has any experience with this camera, I'd love to hear the good, the bad and the ugly. As soon as I get some worthy pics, I'll be sure to stop back.
