The photo pass is when there are CM's that will take your picture, in front of the castle, in front of the hat at MGM, w/the characters (not all of them--the "biggies" --in Toon Town w/Mickey/Cindrella-in AK w/Mickey/Minnie.
They allow you to take photos of your kiddos & then they will snap photos as well & had you a credit card type card. You can hand the same card to the next CM to add the next photo on to it.
YES - it can be worth it. They can get some pricless pictures. AND it's worth it 'cause it's free---you don't have to buy a thing if you don't want.
In May we bought several photos (our 1st trip in a while) when we went in Sept I only bought 1..but the CM got the most pricelss photo of dd beign kisssed by CInderella & we all missed the photo w/our cameras! I bought the 1 pkg which was 1 5x7 & 2?or3? wallets for $15.95. I also did not really want the 5x7 but I didn't want just wallets either.
You can view the photos before leaving the park (but who has the time!?) on the back of the card it gives you the address to see the photos ---its
www.disneyphotopass.com & on the back of the card is a series of #s to type in & then it pulls up your photos. They are only there for 30 days though. You can email them to anyone for free....& no you can't print them (though back in May I printed mine!)
The other coool feature is you can add the characters signature onto the photo - so if your w/MIckey in the photo you can add the signature...add you can add the logo of MK or Epcot = wherever you are & the year of the trip. It's all neat.
The CM;s will also super impose on 1 of the photos---tink @ the castle & stitch was @ MGM (I think)
NOW as far as quality goes ---DO NOT RELY on these as your main photos (even if you can afford it) they just aren't that great. IT's kinda like those machines you take your print to @
Walmart to make another copy of-they just come out okay (our photos colors were weird---pretty yellow_ compared to the other photos we took w/our cameras in the same locations.
HTH!
