I think that's what the new program is called. It's the one where they give you a card and use it each time they take your pictures in the park. How is it? Does it work out ok? I just found our $300+ of pictures from last trip in a box and hope to be more careful picking out pictures this time if we can do it at home.

Thanks

PhotoPass is pretty cool but the pictures are super expensive. Still, the CMs who take your picture take better ones using their own cameras than with yours!

PhotoPass is amazing and be sure to get your card started the minute you enter a park, and keep it going! Its wonderful and you can see your pics and crop, add, adjust, nearly whatever you want. I love the feature and am so glad its available!

I came home to 41 pictures on Photopass. I loved this feature, but you can only get 5 x 7 and bigger. I would like 4 x 6 for my scrapbooks.

We received a free 5x7 with our package. The photo CMs would also use our cameras to take a picture of us. They are expensive and only online a month.

and how would they link them? Does it cost extra money for the photo pass card? This sounds like a great idea!

what is this photo pass thing? I have never heard of it before. What does it entail?

The photo pass is when there are CM's that will take your picture, in front of the castle, in front of the hat at MGM, w/the characters (not all of them--the "biggies" --in Toon Town w/Mickey/Cindrella-in AK w/Mickey/Minnie.
They allow you to take photos of your kiddos & then they will snap photos as well & had you a credit card type card. You can hand the same card to the next CM to add the next photo on to it.

YES - it can be worth it. They can get some pricless pictures. AND it's worth it 'cause it's free---you don't have to buy a thing if you don't want.

In May we bought several photos (our 1st trip in a while) when we went in Sept I only bought 1..but the CM got the most pricelss photo of dd beign kisssed by CInderella & we all missed the photo w/our cameras! I bought the 1 pkg which was 1 5x7 & 2?or3? wallets for $15.95. I also did not really want the 5x7 but I didn't want just wallets either.

You can view the photos before leaving the park (but who has the time!?) on the back of the card it gives you the address to see the photos ---its www.disneyphotopass.com & on the back of the card is a series of #s to type in & then it pulls up your photos. They are only there for 30 days though. You can email them to anyone for free....& no you can't print them (though back in May I printed mine!)
The other coool feature is you can add the characters signature onto the photo - so if your w/MIckey in the photo you can add the signature...add you can add the logo of MK or Epcot = wherever you are & the year of the trip. It's all neat.
The CM;s will also super impose on 1 of the photos---tink @ the castle & stitch was @ MGM (I think)

NOW as far as quality goes ---DO NOT RELY on these as your main photos (even if you can afford it) they just aren't that great. IT's kinda like those machines you take your print to @ Walmart to make another copy of-they just come out okay (our photos colors were weird---pretty yellow_ compared to the other photos we took w/our cameras in the same locations.

HTH!

When you order the photos at home, do they mail them to you or do you print them out yourself? :confused3

Ride photos are not linked to this system. Those you have to choose on the spot to buy or not. The photo pass card (card itself) is free with no obligation to buy.

The pictures are pricey, but fun. Definitely worth getting a card and taking a look. It's just sometimes hard to be selective later :)

They mail them to you. YOu can also create holiday cards from the photos on the site.

At Disneyland California Adventure, they use to offer a 2 4x6 package 2 years ago. but they are now converting all their systems to similar to WDW, so it is now gone. I agree and have offered that suggestion as well to WDW, I would probably purchase more if they were 4x6 size. We came home with 97 on our photopass. Purchased only 2 in the parks and just ordered holiday cards.
