Photo pass?

My question is what if we wanted 1 or 2 family pictures and not wanted any more than that. Do we still have to buy the CD before we have pictures taken? I have a son-in-law who has never been to WDW and to have a picture of all of us would be great. I am trying to get last minute advice, we are so excited, But I really would like 1 or 2 professional photos of my family.

Thanks:banana:

You can order individual prints but they are quite expensive. Ex. 2 4X6 prints are $12.95.

Thank you, so All I would need to do is ask one of the Photographer to take the picture and they would give me a card and that is all I would have to do. Then when we get home all I would have to do is go to Photo Pass and order the pictures I want, even if it is just a couple of pictures!!

Nope. You can order individaul prints right there in the parks while you are still on vacation or you can wait until you come home to view them online and put your order in that way. The prints are much more expensive by themselves. But, at the same time, if you are only after a couple of pictures, then that might be the way to go for your family. During our last vacation this past December we had well over 100 pictures on our photopass card (and that was before I came home and added more by adding borders and such to the pictures). For us it's more economical to buy the CD and print out what we want ... and to share them via email with friends/family.

Thank you very much for the information. I will talk with my daughter and my son-in-law, they may want to purchase the CD. It is my son-in-laws first visit, and my daughter's 25th Birthday so the CD may be the way to go. Will I still get the discount after returning from our vacation, or do we need to purchase the Photo Pass first?

Purchase the Photopass CD first if you want the discount. You will be sent an e-mail with a code on it. It will tell you not to delete it (I usually print a copy and save it on my e-mail as well)--you will enter the code when you place your final order for the CD and go to check out (after your trip and after you have edited the photos) and you will get the discounted price.

This is the address you will want to use now:

PLEASE do not do what my neighbor just did--she told me today that she ordered her photo CD and can't wait to add the borders, etc. Ummm...you have to do that BEFORE you order the CD (NOT the pre-order--the REAL order!) So now she is bummed because she didn't add her borders, crop, etc. Too late, there is nothing she can do now. Once the CD is ordered, it is final. Just a heads up...:wizard:

I would wait to get back from the trip to buy the cd code unless your doing some of those special photo sessions at the hotels.

I waited and after adding borders to pics had about 150. Then I "prepurchased" the code to get the discounted price and then after receiving that went right back in and bought the cd. I did see just recently you can get an additional 30 days ontop of the initial 30 day viewing/use time frame. Not sure what is involved there.

Can I have MNSSHP photopass pics on my CD with the regular photopass pics... or will I need to order it sepatately??? I know that I'll have a 40% discount w/ MNSSHP pics x1 order....would that include a CD too??? And if it does include a CD can I put my regular pics on too???

Last time I ordered just prints and not a CD, but I did get the discount on my test track photo along with the 3 from P&PP.. when i orderd online.

Any thoughts??

Thanks Paula

Yes, you can put your MNSSHP photopass pics on the CD. Once you type in your first code, it will ask if you want to add another photopass to this account, so you can put the next number in.

However, when you are ready to check out, you can only use ONE discount code--either the CD prepay code OR the MNSSHP 40% code--not both. The MNSSHP code is only good on ONE print, so you are better off using the prepay code. Once you have the CD, you can take it anywhere to make prints (you are given the copyrights to your pics with it) so that will be MUCH cheaper than buying it through Photopass, even with the 40% off.

Anyone knows how long is this 20% savings last? My trip will be from 12/11-12/15. I don't want to order it too early but don't want to miss this saving neither. Thanks.

I am pre-ordering the cd this year. From what I understand from the photopass website: disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx, the cost when you pre-order is $99.95 which is a 20% savings, and it doesn't matter how many pictures you order (you can order 50 or 1000 for the same price...etc). You get all original images plus copies of any you have edited, including those with added borders and character signatures, and also the copyright release so you can print the images in the sizes and formats you want, or e-mail them to family and friends. Also, if after you upload the pics from your card and you decide that you don't really like any of them, you can get your $ back, as long as you e-mail them and request your refund within 2 weeks after the completion of your vacation. I have also heard that if you tell the photographers that you have pre-ordered the cd already they will take extra pics (don't quote me on that though). ;) Hope this helps!

It's been going on for awhile--it was available for our trip last Dec. as well, so you should probably be okay. Even if you purchase now, the code is good for six months.

I just wanted to throw this out here on this thread because I made this mistake last time and really regretted it.

You can have the photos that are taken of you while you are on the individual rides added right to your photo pass too. I passed on a couple of ride photos of my son that I REALLY wish I had gotten. It was on the very last ride on the very last day of our trip that one of the CM's told us that they could just put them on a photo pass.
DOH!!!
If I had done that, I would have been able to go back and order them
once I got home.
Just wanted to share.

I thought test track was the only ride that could be added to photopass??? Did the other ones finally get on board too:cool1:

I hope so... would be worth getting photopass just for the ride pics if thats the case!!

Hi,
I am trying to decide if it would be worth preordering the CD for MNSSHP. Do they take enough pictures to make it worth the $99.00? We will not be going into the parks any other time to take advantage of more pictures. Thanks in advance.

I must have mis-understood.
I'm sorry for the wrong information.

:confused3

We were at Test Track when a CM told us this, so it is likely that I just misunderstood.

You can always preorder and if you don't get as many pics (or good pics) as you would like, you can cancel and get your money back. My DD and I did one day at MK and MNSSHP and we had 63 pics before adding borders, etc., so it was worth it to me. Besides, she is only three once...:lovestruc

We went for a week in August and I didn't properly research the PhotoPass. I didn't realize how expensive individual photos are...and of course once I saw them, I wanted them. BUT we really didn't take enough pics to justify buying a CD.
SO my advice is to preorder the CD and take advantage while you are in the parks...I'm sure you will have lots of great opportunities with the Christmas decos being up and everything. Just don't worry if the Photopass people are with others...we had to wait quite a few times but they are really quick, and it is worth the few minute wait.
Hope this helps. Have fun!!!

One more thing....as of our August vacation, Test Track was the only ride photo that could be added to the PhotoPass but a CM did tell us that they were trying to upgrade all of the ride photos to PhotoPass.

We were at WDW on Sept. 8-9, we came home and saw our 63 pics (!) and I edited them, added borders, etc. online. (FYI...I ended up with 157 pics on the CD.) I then placed my order using my code. (Only one code per order, so if you have a separate discount code for prints, as an example, you would have to place a separate order OR just not use that code.)

The CD's are shipped by UPS and arrive in about 5 days. Totally worth it! :goodvibes[/QUOTE]

I need help with the actual ordering of the pre-purchased CD. I pre-purchased it, went on my wonderful, fabulous vacation, came back and edited all my pictures. When I went to order it using the code I got, it showed my code was not valid. My question - where do you enter the code. I think I might be entering it in the wrong place. I put it in the coupon code spot and it did not work. I did not want to go ahead and enter all my cc info because I was afraid I would get charged again. Please help!!:worship:

Thanks

Is the price coming up as the $124.95 (or whatever it is)? If so, that is right, but your total due will be $0.00. In other words, you will have a zero balance because you have already paid up front. IF it is telling you that your code is invalid, I would contact Photopass through their site. They will respond within 24 hours.
