Photo Pass Share for those traveling later in March... and early April!!!

Anyone interested?? Based on one of the latest posts in the other thread... I have decided to start a thread for those interested and traveling later in March/early April.

I will be there March 22-March 28th or so...

Hopefully there are others out there

I've never done a PhotoPass (much less a share) before, but from what I'm reading on other posts, it looks like if a share was for guests just visiting Disneyland (I assume those on this board are), it's cheaper to purchase it after we visit, right? And I think that the pics are available to be claimed 30 days from when they're taken, and then on the claim date there is a new 30 day set point for editing. Does that sound right? I'm still learning the nitty-gritty stuff, but hope this works out.

So, if you're planning on joining us, please PM me with...
- your DIS name
- your email address
- your real name (at least first name, last initial, but I'll need your real name and and addresss to send out the cd's eventually)
- mailing address either now or when we're getting ready to pay
- your trip dates

Since it looks like some things with PhotoPass are changing and the pre-pay is now more expensive than buying it after, I won't need PayPal from you until we open the account and start editing. At that point, it looks like the cd would be $79.95 and then I think a shipping charge of $2.95, and then I think $5/person for me for the cds & mailers... so that would be...

3 people... $32.56 each
4 people... $25.73 each
5 people... $21.58 each
6 people... $18.82 each
and so on

I think we should maybe make a specific date range, also, to ensure that everyone has enough time to claim and edit photos. Since it looks like our earliest date is March 22, maybe our latest possible date should be April 17ish? We could start claiming photos in the middle of that range, around April 7-10ish, and that way the earliest guests will be able to claim photos (in case any need to be "found" by customer support) while still giving later guests time to do edits and such. That would mean that the cd would be ordered around May 7-10ish (30 days after we start claiming). As soon as I receive the PhotoCD from Disney, I'll burn copies for everyone within about 2 days depending on how many of us there are (if possible, I'll try to only send your family's photos to make life easier for everyone).

Does that all make sense?? I'll post with an updated list of how many we have when I start getting PM's.

OH, I just looked at prices for bubble mailers and they're less than I thought. I'm not definitely not trying to make a profit, I just don't want to be out some funds. I think $4/person makes more sense than $5, so take $1 off of each of those numbers above.

I tried to PM you to see if you can PM me back - it looks like it was sent? Otherwise, I'd need your email address to email you back. Or, just post a few more times (heck, bump this thread a few times, ha!) so you can send PMs because I think you only need a few more posts to be able to do so. That way your email address wouldn't have to be out in a public thread.

Okay it looks like we need to bump up the range for claiming the photos, and therefore the dates for all parties involved, to accomodate another DISer (which shouldn't mess with anyone already involved).

The earliest date we have for DL arrival is March 15, so I think the latest someone could get back would be April 12/13 and we'll start claiming photos still around April 7-10 (I'd make that date earlier, but I'd like to be home to start the account, and we get back late on the 7th ). That should still work for everyone, right? Then we'll have until May 7-10 still to do edits, when the cd's would be ordered.
