going on a 7 day Fantasy... I see where you can pre-pay $295.95 for the digital package only? is that a discounted price?

Yes. That is 15% off the "normal" price of $350. But we paid it and for us, it was worth it. We also added a second stateroom once on-board for half of the $350 price, because my sister's family went on the same cruise.

Piece of cake. When you get on board, they will know you have bought the package already. You will give your KTTW card each time you pose with the ship photographers (except at places like the dining room where they know who you are by table.) Every cabin has a "book" on a certain bookshelf that you can go to and look at prints of all of your pictures so far. There are also computer terminals you can use to find pictures of yourself (like on the Aquaduck) that didn't make it into your book. If towards the end, you don't think you have enough pictures to make it worthwhile, you can cancel. If you don't cancel, on the last night or last morning you go to Shutters and pick up your USB drive.

How do you preorder? Is there a certain date before the cruise you have to preorder by? Thanks for letting me interrupt!

If I use my Disney Visa do I also get the 10% off? I just read that on another post that made me remember this question. Thanks!

For cruises beginning Jan 1, and later, if you use your Disney VISA for your onboard account you get:
  • 10% off "select" Disney Cruise Line Digital photo packages. That's on the 10, 15, & 20 photo package as well as a full priced (not pre-cruise purchased) all digital package.
So, no, you can't prepurchase the full digital package at 15% off and get another 10% off because you've used your Disney VISA to back your onboard account. One or the other.

But, you can get 10% off the small packages by using your Disney VISA to back your onboard account.

We did the all prints and all digital on our last 7 day. We prepaid $395. It was worth it to us. But we did get ready for dinner about 15 minutes earlier than usual to go take pictures. We would go to the main staircase area and stand in the lines for the diffeernt backdrop photographers. Some had a line of 10 people, sometimes there was no line. We tried to do this every night and pics done at 1 or 2 backdrops. We got about 150 prints and we have some great family pics on neutral backgrounds that we can use for Christmas cards.

This sounds awesome. I just got the link to pre-order for our first cruise ever in February. Hubby's birthday is the second night of our cruise.
@tigerchic89 - We've always done this Memory Maker at the parks and love it. Hubby calls me the Photopass stalker. I find them all and get as many photos as they'll take. Sounds like I can do similar for the cruise.

One question - It sounds like we get both the USB drive of all our photos as well as some hard copy photos in our folder? Am I correct?

You have two choices, all digital or all digital plus prints. The "plus prints" costs and extra $100 for a 7 day cruise. You;ll have lots of photo opportunities. In addition to all the places their photographers are set up on the ship for posed pictures, they also come to your dinner table many nights (try to sit next to different people in your group different nights so you don't always get the same pairs.) They even had a photographer come out into the water on Castaway Cay for some great shots.

I'll also point out the "plus prints" mean all those prints they actually print up to include in your folder (in the bookcase). It doesn't mean ALL photos will have prints. From the My Cruise Photos website:

How many printed photos will I receive if I order the "All Your Digital Photos + Prints" package?

With this package, you will receive all your digital photos on a disc and any photo that is printed and displayed in the Photo Gallery (note: ALL photos may not be printed). You are not guaranteed to have one printed copy of each of your digital photos; only whatever is contained in your folder.

There was a time when the full package plus prints would include all photos, but you had to check you folder to ensure all the photos were there yourself. And request prints of the ones that weren't.

I bought the digital photos + PLUS prints and now I'm wondering if I should have just paid for the digital photos.... and printed on my own time. I don't know if I can change this now that I have pre-paid....

I preordered it before our last 4 nights cruise. We had more than 100 pictures at the end of the cruise, on other cruises (Carnival, etc) a picture with a backdrop will be really expensive so we we really took advantage on our Disney Cruise and took as much pictures as posible and I found the price to be more than worth.

I am looking at photo packages now for our February cruise. Some of the stuff on the mycruisephotos.com website show an emblem if they are discounted and some things don't show an emblem- if there is no emblem does that mean it is the same price on board? For example- 10 digital photos - $149.95. Is that the price prepurchased or if we want until we are on board?

Yes, only those items that actually have the emblem stating a discount have a higher cost onboard. All other packages are the same price onboard.

For those who have done a 3-night cruise, when do the photographers stop taking pictures? Other than pictures taken on CC, will there be any photographers that last day? Thanks!

It's my understanding that the photographers stop taking photos around dinner time on all cruises, in order to allow enough time to download and sort photos into the proper folders.
