Photo package cost

If you are sailing with your adult child and his family, then I don't know if the 50% off on the ship will work. Or if it is intended for families traveling with older (unmarried) children that have connecting rooms. Of if they allow both to happen.

Adult child and their family will definitely work. We got the discount when my mother traveled with her two adult children and their families. What I don't know is if unrelated families, but who have linked reservations and are traveling together will work. My sense is that they will, because it seems like they are happy to sell extra packages, but I can't be sure since we didn't have that situation.

If this is like how My Cruise Photos run things on RCI, then there will probably be a small package discount during the last couple of days of the cruise that will work out to about $10-15USD/print or so. We got 20 for this price, so you can probably see how pre-purchasing the USB or print package represents better value.

We will be purchasing the USB package for our Allure cruise in August (RCI is also My Cruise Photos... I think). Might be too far out for some of you, but I'll try to keep notes as they probably run the same procedure on DCL.

I wouldn't count on things being similar between other cruise lines and Disney. I don't recall them ever having a discount on pictures during the cruise. I would never assume that because RCL does things one way, Disney will.

I only say this in the case of photos because it’s the same company in charge of that part of the cruise. Maybe it’s Royal and not My Cruise Photos that is driving the discounts, but in any event I’ll keep an eye on this and we can revisit. Can’t hurt, right?

We have my siblings plus respective children & spouses, plus my parents. I doubt my parents will get a photo package, but I'm pretty certain the rest of us will. I've spent more money on one family pictures photo session, so while it isn't cheap, it does beat schlepping my big camera around everywhere. Plus, I get to be in the photo for once.
