Is you embarkment photo taken with Mickey and Minnie or is it just your party at the entrance of the ship....for some reason this question just hit me-thought I would ask

On our Magic cruis in January, the embarkation photo was with a sign that had the date of the cruise, along with pics of Mickey and Minnie in formal wear, a picture of the Magic at night and a picture of CC.

Although Mickey and Minnie were not available immediately upon emarkation, we saw Minnie shortly thereafter and got an AWSOME photo of DS 5 running into her arms (we didn't realize he loved her so much:rolleyes: )

I am not sure about this, but I think Mickey was at the top of the atrium stairs waving to people. I don't recall if it was a photo op, but there were many, many opportunities to get pics with the characters throughout the cruise. We spent a bundle at shutters. . . .probably should have gotten the package.

Thanks! That helps...not exactly what I wanted-but oh well!

We had an embarkment photo like the one in the link. Donald was in the terminal while we were checking in & we we able to get our pic taken with him by the model of the ship. It turned out really nice. There are TONS of times that you can get pics done with Disney characters. There's usually a schedule in the atrium for the times the characters come out. Plus they will have the characters at Castaway Cay. We had our photo taken with Mickey & Minnie in the atrium, at some point during the cruise. They were both wearing their sailing outfits. HTH!

thats what I'm hoping for-them in their sailing outfits...will find them and figure it out...I can see myself spending way too much at shutters-but oh well...

Although this is not an embarkation photo, it might be what you were looking for???

Sorry... I don't know how to make it smaller!!

ToDisney: What an absolutely adorable picture!:)

ToDisney...what a great picture!

Yes, there are plenty of times to get photos taken with the characters while onboard. As Bahama97 said, there are also many chances (around dinner time) to get more formal photos taken. They have some really nice backgrounds to choose from.

ToDisney, What a GREAT picture. What Characters are on board and do they give you a list of where they will be and what time? Also, when can you meet the Captain? Joni :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I think there's a list on deck 3 with characters and times... There's also times and places in the Navigator (but doesn't list characters). We saw Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Captain Hook and Wendy. I think you could meet the Captain on semi-formal night???

ToDisney,
Thanks for the info!!! I'm sure my son will find ALL of them somewhere. Joni :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Watch the Navigator for the Captain's Reception. This was held on formal night (Monday) during our 6/21 cruise. It was held outside the Walt Disney Theater and the photo taken is wonderful. They set it up so that the mural of Walt makes it look like he is in the photo with you. We took it and had the Capt sign it during his memorabilia signing later in the week.

When you go to Shutters to pick up the embarkation photo there is the one with the sign such as the link showed. But there will probably be a second one as described earlier where that photo of the family is sort of tilted in the center with the night Magic, M&M in formalwear, CC, and all the characters in the 4 corners. I used this as part of my title page for the scrapbook I've started on our recent cruise.

I just finished our cruise scrapbook, and I did the same thing with the embarkation picture! BTW, the book turned out great and was so much fun to put together. :D

Hi PiperG!

Isn't it great when great minds think alike! :p Do you have any of your pages up anywhere? Timon has a great set and I've already earmarked several ideas to scraplift!

Unfortunately, I am not quite that sophisticated. I wish I could post them somewhere, because I really loved the way the book turned out. I had a lot more CM tools at my disposal with this book, and that really made a difference. I bought Titletopia, square and circle punches and used way more patterened paper than I had in the past.

What a great hobby! I have only being scrapbooking for about a year, but am totally addicted :p :p :p :p

PiperG - You've got to post your scrapbook pages! Do you have a digital camera or a scanner? It's easy if you have either of them. I'm sure we could walk you through it. I would love to see how they "re-do" the embarkation photo.

kellyb2000,

We have a digital camera here at work. Its on my list to purchase one for personal use, but DH and I haven't had time to research it.

I will bring my scrapbook in tomorrow and see if I can take a picture. From there, you can help me get it posted!

PiperG... you can post them on twopeasinabucket.com! I can't wait to see!! Do you post on the craft/food/scrap board here on DIS?
