Hi guys
Visiting from the UK in September and have booked one day park entry tickets via Seaworld website. On the printed confirmation it says to present the voucher at the turnstyle along with valid photo ID.

I don't drive so the only photo ID i have will be my passport which i am reluctant in carrying around a themepark all day.

Does anyone know if a photo copy of the passport would be accepted? Would hate to get turned away because they wouldn't :(

Cheers.

i would contact SW and ask them directly.

Thanks for the reply. I did guess for all these views and no replies it was not a straight forward question :lmao:

i have emailed Seaworld and hope to get a responce soon , been 2 days and no word yet.

I think it's one of those situation where they have the right to ask you for ID but don't actively ask for it. I've been several times now & with the multi-day tickets they operate like Disney with the biometric link & I have been asked for my ID when the link fails (exactly like Disney operate). That's only happened once though in the many times I've been.

With the single day tickets I don't think it will matter, they don't really care who uses the ticket & since it'll be single use there's no chance of a non-matching biometric so you should not need the ID. I didn't take any ID with me to SeaWorld this past May & was fine.

At the end it's a risk because you can be asked for it & if you don't have it you're in the deep end. So, it'll be your choice of whether the risk will be worth it.

Hi

Just in case anyone else is interested though mainly overseas visitors i would think. Just had confirmation from SeaWorld services in Orlando to say they understand people not wanting to carry their passports with them and they will accept a clear colour photocopy of the passport as ID.

Good news for me and any others who are concerned.:thumbsup2

Thank you for this. I am in a similar situation. I really dont want to take my Passport to a park where there are chances that I might loose it or get it soaking wet!

I can't address the issue of whether or not SW will take a copy of your passport, but when we were there in June my husband and I did have to show our ID's along with our tickets. We did have multi-day tickets (with the Discovery Cove package), and each ticket had one of our names on it.
