Photo Gallery CD Thread*MAJOR CHANGE ON PP PRICING WITH WDW & DLR. See post #303-

Does the coupon have an expiration date?

I just purchased my Photo Gallery CD a couple weeks ago and have not used the voucher yet and it does not have an expiration date on the voucher but if I want to use it to get my pics that were just taken at DL, I will need to use the voucher within 60 days. Basically you have 30 days after the first picture is taken to "claim" them on disneyphotopass.com. Then you have another 30 days to edit them and purchase them before they disappear.

mydisneymoney is right there is no expiration on the coupon. But at most you have 60 days from date first photo is taken before they will disappear (unless you pay extra to do an extension-this will extend the ordering time but not the uploading time-max. 30 days on that)

Do the photopass cd's include the pictures from the rides like splash or ToT?

No. None of the ride photos are inc. Actually, none are inc. for free. I believe some of them can be added to your PP card if you also buy the photos.

The only ride photo that is free with your PP CD is Test Track at WDW.

This will only work on the Disneyland pricing. So if you were going to DLR after your trip to WDW then it would work for you. (That's what I do-I have AP to DLR).

Basically when you buy the PP Gallery CD in the store it inc. a coupon for a few DLR PP CD online (a $59.95 value-same price as the Gallery CD). So it's like getting the Gallery CD for free. But it doesn't work on the WDW pricing (to my knowledge)

If you are going to DLR after WDW you could still buy the CD at DLR and then ask for a refund on your WDW pre-purchase.

i live in buena park (near DL) and a premier passholder. I will be at wdw next week ans already prepurchased the cd. So is it safe to just go ahead and buy the gallery cd when i come back from wdw, get a picture taken at DL, and ask for a refund for the prepurchased cd? Is the refund a sure thing? Sorry for the million questions.

Yes, it's a sure thing. I have done it before. The prepurchase you made says this
Offer Terms & Conditions: Disney’s PhotoCD will only include Disney's PhotoPass photos taken after purchase of this offer. Disney’s PhotoPass photos within your Disney's PhotoPass account prior to purchasing one of these offers will not be included. By taking advantage of the Pre-Arrival Offers, you can save on two of our most popular memory keepsakes! Once you have purchased a Pre-Arrival Savings Offer, you will receive credit(s) in your shopping cart on DisneyPhotoPass.com for the product(s) you pre-ordered. When you are ready to purchase, add the product(s) you pre-ordered to your shopping cart and place your order. Applicable shipping & handling charges and taxes will be charged to all orders. The applicable credit(s) will be deducted from your cart and applied to your order. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your photos and decide you no longer wish to order your product(s), just let us know and we can remove the credit from your cart and grant you a full refund. Please note however, once a credit has been applied to an order, a refund will not be granted. While the pre-ordered credit has no expiration date, your photos will expire based on the DisneyPhotoPass.com storage policy. Please be sure to place your order before your photos expire.

I did this several years back when I was worried that for some reason even though I went to DLR last (we also an AP) I would still get charged the WDW price. So I waited until after I ordered my CD (paying $59.95) before I asked for a refund.

Since the pre-buy has now expiration on it (except for the dates of your photos) you could use it at any time and therefore you can request a refund at any time. What if you went to the parks and didn't get many PP taken. Or you didn't like enough of them? That's why they offer the money back guarantee.

We'll be at WDW in about a week as well. I will be going to DLR after we get back (probably several trips) to get more PP taken. That will set the pricing to the DLR one. I will use the coupon code for the Gallery CD I am buying tomorrow to get the price to zero. Trust me, it works. I've used the coupon code 3 times so far. Twice it inc. photos from WDW. Once they were mine, once they were my DSis (this past May).

I don't know how many Gallery CDs they have in stock but I am getting mine tomorrow, just in case they run out again. They ran out this year for a few months and I don't want to risk it again. If you can squeeze in a visit to DLR you might want to pick one up. ;)

BTW, I would probably go ahead and enter your PP cards into a new PP account. Use a different email address. Then when you ask for the refund there won't even be any photos in your account.

thanks! I will create an acct for my fiance and go from there! :cool1:

Sorry I didn't see this sooner-

The CD online is $59.95, so it's the same price. However, the coupon code inc. free shipping (at least the old one did)

Is it worth buying it again?-depends. Do you have the previous version? This one may have different photos. Do you have an AP? You'll get a discount on the one you buy with the store coupon but not online.

If you don't have an AP and don't care about getting the new photos then what you would save is the shipping (about $2.95).

If you have an AP you can save up to $12 on the CD and free shipping. A $15 savings.

Personally I have bought 3 for previous orders and plan on buying another one in the next few days for our upcoming WDW/DLR trips. ;)

I will report back after I buy the new one as to what new pix there may be in them. Also if the free shipping is still inc.

Ah yes..have the AP and had forgotten we get the discount with Deluxe (for now) Plus the free shipping..bonus..so will get the CD again. Hopefully they WILL have new photos..the other one, every time I looked for a specific one to use for a scrapbook page they didn't have it.:confused3..course there is California state tax..wonder if the Photopass site charges tax..can't remember..

Picked up 2 Gallery CDs on Friday. Once again the cashier didn't know what I was talking about. I asked her to check with another CM (sometimes the cashiers at PP store aren't their regular cashiers).

Haven't had a chance to look at the photos yet but the coupon is in both of them. I picked up one for a friend.

Just looked at the new photos in the updated Gallery CD. It looks like they have added quite a few newer shots and THERE ARE PHOTOS FROM WORLD OF COLOR! (contrary to what a CM told me). The nighttime shots are really beautiful. Almost worth getting just for those (but the free coupon makes it even better.)

There are a total of 352 photos. 11 Resort, 27 Holidays (Christmas and Halloween), 39 Fireworks, 57 DCA, 212 DL, and 6 Character.

By checking the date taken info on the photos many of them were taken in March and April of this year. The firework ones are awesome too!:cloud9:

hi! I was just in DL today and totally forgot about this. I'll be there again next week. Where are the gallery cd's being sold? I got my last one in CA but its so torn up there I'd like to avoid the park all together for awhile.

thx!

I always get mine at the PP Store on Main St. near the hub. It's on the right side as you go up MS, just before you reach The Plaza Inn. There are also reports you can get it in the store across from Soarin'. I too don't like going into DCA as much with all the walls up. So congested.

Just ask the cashier and if she/he gives you a blank look (since they are under the coutner) have him/her ask another PP CM.

Does this include shipping internationally?

I don't think it's supposed to but someone reported earlier (maybe on this thread?) that theirs came up balance zero even though they shipped internationally, I think Canada? But I don't know this for sue.

Just wondering if anyone has ordered the Gallery CD online recently and if there is the $59.95 coupon for Photopass in that one? The pic is too blurry to be able to tell if the there's a coupon inside (someone mentioned you can tell by the front cover if there is a coupon inside) Also, any Canadian's recently ordered one to tell how long it took for you to get the CD?? We leave in 3 weeks and I'm thinking it won't be here in time, not sure :confused3 The reason I'm wondering about ordering online is that the Gallery CD is only $39.95 which if you get the Photopass coupon with it makes it a smokin' good deal to buy online:banana:!
Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
