Photo Gallery CD Thread*MAJOR CHANGE ON PP PRICING WITH WDW & DLR. See post #303-

Just wondering if anyone has ordered the Gallery CD online recently and if there is the $59.95 coupon for Photopass in that one? The pic is too blurry to be able to tell if the there's a coupon inside (someone mentioned you can tell by the front cover if there is a coupon inside) Also, any Canadian's recently ordered one to tell how long it took for you to get the CD?? We leave in 3 weeks and I'm thinking it won't be here in time, not sure :confused3 The reason I'm wondering about ordering online is that the Gallery CD is only $39.95 which if you get the Photopass coupon with it makes it a smokin' good deal to buy online:banana:!
Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have no idea if the coupon is included but in believe my sister's PP cd only took about 2 weeks to get to Calgary (with free shipping)

that's a great price! for sure let us know if it has the coupon in it if you find out.

I just emailed photopass about it and also if there are WOC photos on the CD so we'll see what response I get. I'll post back when I hear from them.

Thanks for your reply TinkLoverSam, it's good to hear that it worked, and free shipping is always good too!

So the online Gallery CD for $39.95 does come with a coupon BUT the gallery photos are of WDW not Disneyland. The one thing I am still unsure of, is if the coupon inside for the photopass is accepted at DL?? I'm guessing yes and I did mention to them we would be at DL not WDW. Can anyone also confirm that there are separate CD's for each park (DL vs WDW)??

I just wanted to report back. I ordered my Photo CD today with the voucher that was inside the Gallery CD. I live in the UK. When I entered the voucher code, it not only deducted the amount for the CD, but also international postage to the UK, which would have been $14.95. I know that there were reports of Canadians receiving free shipping, but I was not sure if this would also apply to the UK. When I bought the Gallery CD, I was told that international shipping charges would apply. So this was a nice surprise and made this fantastic value considering that I also got my annual pass discount.

Thanks! maybe I should just take a chance and get it, even if it only has WDW pics on it instead of DL pics.

where did you see this advertised or offered?

So my friend went to WDW, she did the photopass thing and came home. She then put in a code --for pix taken at DL a few days later -- but when she went to the checkout, it still showed $149.95 which was the WDW price rather than the DL price. I thought the latest photopass card controlled. Was I wrong? Is she doing something wrong?

If she went to Disneyland last then the price should have reset to the DLR price $59.95. The price is governed by the park you are in the last. If she went to DLR last then she should call the number on the website and have them correct it. This has worked for me numerous times and unless they recently changed it, this should still work. It's what I will be doing with my WDW (just got home last night) and DLR pictures.

Please post here what she finds out. Thanks.

It's my understanding that the CD offered online for $20 less does not inc. the DLR coupon. That's why it's more at DLR. If the one online does inc. a coupon that would be great! Can't wait to hear back if someone has ordered it.

Great news about the UK shipping! :goodvibes So it's now been confirmed that Canada and the UK get their shipping included as well as here in the U.S. Awesome!

OK, so she should call photopass... do you have a phone number?

Just wanted to update. Yes Disneydaz you're correct, there is no coupon in the one ordered online. I got an email back from the people at the photopass office and she was much more informative than the first person I spoke with. She said it will read "Gallery PhotoCD Value Pack" if it has the coupon in it. If it does not say "Value Pack" at the end it doesn't have a coupon.

To contact Photopass you can use the website www.disneyphotopass.com or call 407-560-4300. Our live phone hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. eastern time, and Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. eastern time.

I just picked up the CD this weekend. I asked for it at the photo store on Main Street, and the CM knew exactly what I was talking about, at the time, I only had two pictures on it, and he said to me, "Don't you want to look at your pictures before you buy this?" We looked, and he gave me some great tips on what to ask for when (like are we centered, can you see the statue of Walt AND the castle, etc) you get your picture taken.

But here is what the CD looks like:

Thanks Krispin41 for the info and the pic!! That helps a ton!!!! It definitely isn't the same as the one online so I will just wait and get it at the park. So you can view your photopass pics before deciding to buy a gallery CD??

Am I understanding this correctly? By buying the Gallery CD, I get a photopass coupon inside that makes it (the photopass CD for $59.95) free? Or.... buying a photopass CD, gets me a free Gallery one of the parks, depending on how you look at it. :teacher: :rotfl:

Exactly! I just walked in and asked for the CD (this was on our first full day in the park, we had two pics taken at the Halloween Party and one at the Hub). And the CM asked me if I wanted to see the pictures. He actually thought our Halloween pic in front of the lighted Mickey Pumpkin was a bit off center, and that our pic in front of the Partners statue was horrible. He said the photographers are supposed to get the castle AND Walt, we didn't really get either. So we had a different photographer do it again.

Thanks! That's very helpful info!!:thumbsup2 It never would have dawned on me to even request such things b/c I thought they would have done that automatically. That's the whole point of the pic, to show where you are! I would have thought I'd be insulting them by reqesting such obvious things so good to know. Thanks! Along the same lines I also saw the point someone made about getting more than one shot in the same location in case you get a better pic on a different day or different photographer.:goodvibes
