Photo Gallery CD Thread*MAJOR CHANGE ON PP PRICING WITH WDW & DLR. See post #303-

Just got my DL packet today and inside was the photopass card.

It says I should register the card so that when I use it the photos will show up in my account.

Can I do this and still buy the gallery photo CD at the parks and get the deal??

If I do register the photopass card, does my time start when I sign up?

Dont do it! Yes, your photos will show up in your account within a few hours of being taken and that will start your 30 day clock ticking. There is no advantage to "registering" your card. It's just a way to shorten your time frame. If you upload your pix on your 30th day you will have a total of 60 days to place your order. :goodvibes

Yes, you can use the coupon from the Gallery CD with the PP card they sent you.

You can use the card they sent you, or not. It's the same as the ones you get in the parks. Just don't upload it until you want (max. of 30 days from first photo taken.)

Thanks so much. I will wait. Only 15 days and a awake up until we fly to DL :)

I absolutely agree with this. You will end up with multiple cards during your visit, that that's all good! Remember to note your photopass cards number somewhere (cell phone camera?) in case they are misplaced.

The only caveat I have to add to DizneyDaz's post is that you should stick to a 29 day window for adding the cards and another 29 days for ordering the disk. Disney may delete the cards from the system at any time on the 30th day (possibly right after midnight).:scared1:

Can anyone verify that they still have this offer available? When is the last time you saw it?

Good to know! We're heading there in Sept, and it may be a longshot if the CD's are still there by then, but I'm still going to keep an eye out for it!

Used the PP in WDW, had a blast with it. Got a few blurry shots, but overall it was worth it.

I bought the CD on June 15th and thought I'd have to pay the international shipping but still get the free CD - still a good deal - but I just ordered my CD and it also gave me free international shipping. Total cost $0!!!!! Awesome surprise!!! (Especially since the first time I put in the code it said it was either unavailable or entered incorrectly and I had a minor heart attack that I'd bought the Gallery CD for no good reason if I couldn't even get the free Photopass CD)

For those who have bought it recently - where are you getting them? Is there just one store offering them?

I bought mine right in the Photo store at the castle end of Main Street. Once I bought it I stopped looking (and I hadn't really looked before I just walked in there and asked about the CD and they handed it to me) so I'm not sure if they're available elsewhere

Great! Thank you!

As far as I know it is only at the Photopass store in DL on Main St. As PP said it's on the Castle end of Main St. As you are facing the Castle it is on the right side, before the hub, on the corner just before The Plaza Inn.

I have never asked for it in DCA so I don't know if that location carries it. :confused3

I just used another one on Sunday June 26th and got my CD on Saturday July 2nd. Pretty fast for regular shipping!

Another thread has posted that Disneyland is currently out of the Gallery CD but that the new ones are due in shortly, or not.:confused3

Final UPDATE

Stopped at the Photo Shop around 11am today. One of the managers happened to be there and told me the new Gallery CDs with the coupons are coming out of Florida. She said the last email update they got just said the new packaging and photos are in production. They gave her no expected date of delivery. She said it could be a matter of days weeks or even months before they arrive.

She told me they get multiple requests a day from guests for them and they are hoping the new CD arrives soon.

Good luck to all that are going to DLR soon. I hope they arrive pronto!

I'm curious about the Florida ones. I didn't know they had them with coupons. I wonder what the deal is with that one? I wouldn't mind having one with WDW pictures if it wasn't too much more.

Maybe they just mean the new packaging is being manufactured in Florida?
