Photo Gallery CD Thread*MAJOR CHANGE ON PP PRICING WITH WDW & DLR. See post #303-

We leave in 12 hours for our first trip to WDW. I am online to buy the photopass CD. I don't understand the gallery CD, or how to use the CDMARSAVE coupon code (i tried, it didn't work) or what you are talking about regarding the price of the CD having to do w/the last park we are in. we have park hopper passes, so we can make any park our last park. PLEASE HELP!!!

Looks to me like you are going to WDW so besides not being able to pick up the Gallery CD at DLR I don't think you'll be able to use it anyway.

Couple questions? Have you already been to DLR. Are you also going to WDW?
If you haven't been to a Disney park yet why are you trying to order a CD using the CDMARSAVE code? Are you trying to use it to order the Photo Gallery CD online for $39.95?

The online Photo Gallery CD doesn't have the coupon you would need for DLR. That's why it's more expensive at DLR. $59.95.

If you are only going to WDW then what you need to do is pre-buy your WDW PP CD for $99.95. You have to buy it before any of your pictures are taken.

Hope this helps and that you read this before you go.

BTW, I'm wondering if this in an April Fool's joke since it's your first post and your are leaving for WDW today?? Just saying....

Has it been determined how long these Gallery CDs will last with the PP promo? Not sure if I needed to start asking people to get one for me... :)

As PP said, once the supply is gone,it's gone, along with the coupon. The CD has pix on it from 2010 (maybe even 2009, can't remember) so I'm sure they are doing this offer to get rid of the old photos before maybe doing a new one?

If you know someone going soon I would have them pick one up for you. And if they have an AP, so much the better. With a premium AP, it comes to just under $53, inc. tax. Then when you order the CD online the coupon will cover the CD and standard mailing, normally $63. A $10 savings and you get the Gallery CD which does have some very nice shots-for scrapbooking, etc.(;)momof3lovebugs-I know what you mean!)

:cutie:yes, I would actually have to sit down and DO the scrapbooking....which I haven't done since my almost 8 yr old son was 4mos old.....It's a bit of a daunting undertaking now!! :rotfl: But I WILL try since I will have the cd! :woohoo:

Ok I just want to make sure the WDW then DL thing is still working...

We are going to WDW shortly. My sis lives in Calif and goes to DL often. If I convince her to go right after our trip to WDW I should be able to :

1) Load our WDW Photopass onto my account w/in 30 days of my return.
2) Then load her DL Photopass onto my account.
3) I should then be able to order a CD for the DL price of $59.95...

I'm thinking of doing that instead of the pre-order for $99.95.

Thanks!

Yes. As long as you upload your PP pictures within 30 days of when they are taken at WDW and then order your CD 30 days from the first date you upload. I've done these over the past few years and it has worked every time.
Have a great time in WDW! My DSis and her DH will be there 5/14 to 5/21 for their anniversary.:goodvibes

Disclaimer-Disney could change how they do PP at any time but I haven't heard otherwise. If you want to call Photopass to verify it will work, their phone number is on their website. Or send them an email. Just let them know the dates you are going to WDW and you ( your DSis) is going to DLR.

I will be sharing a CD with my DSis on their trip. I will make sure we go after their trip to WDW is over, which shouldn't be a problem. I'm actually going to have them hold off uploading their WDW ones for awhile so I can include a few trips to DLR in June on the CD. My birthday is June 23 and I may be going to DLR then. So if I have her hold off until say May 30th to upload then I will have until June 29th to order. :)

Thanks for the info...I guess my sis isn't going to make it to DL so I'll do the preorder...oh well it is a good idea!

Have a great b'day...even though it is almost 2 months off.

I've done the pre-order, then done an unexpected trip to DLR. I've requested a refund, and got $40 back. A little bit o' work, but worth it and Disney immediately responded. So if your sis changes her mind again and goes, you could still request a refund and get the DLR price in the end.

Thanks! Sorry you couldn't convince your DSis to go. But like PP mentioned, if she changes her mind you can always request a refund.:goodvibes

Just wanted to thank you for your advice on the photopass. We have just returned from our trip where we purchased the gallery CD value pack and I've had lots of fun adding borders etc to our pics. Looking forward to getting the CD. :goodvibes

You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. Taking PP pix can be pretty fun (and addicting). The times we go and don't get any taken I feel like something is missing.;)

Is the Gallery Cd with the Photopass offer in it still in the park? We leave in 3 days and I hoping to still find one....
Thanks

I believe so. They don't have the CDs out, just ask the cashier. If the cashier doesn't know about them, have them ask someone else. Sometimes the CMs working the register don't always now. They can be new or relocated.

I last bought one a few months back and they said they have plenty.

It was in the Kodak store next to Plaza Inn last week.

Thanks!! good to know. I was so hoping they do. Is there a special name for it? ie Gallery Cd w/ bonus or something? If I have to ask I want to make sure I'm asking for the right thing.
Thanks again, i really appreciate they replies.
We are taking the kids and it's my hubby's and the kids first time. I've been 3 times but the last was over 16 yrs ago, so it will be like the first time for me too.

Yes, it's a Gallery Photo CD and has a voucher/coupon for a FREE Photopass CD. It mentions the free Photopass CD on the outside of the box so you'll know you have the right one.

Perfect!! I will make sure to look closely and hope there is still one left.
Thank you so much for all your help.

Just letting the board know that I just got my PP cd in the mail and I did use the Disneyland gallery cd offer (had my sister buy it) and it worked like a charm! Two thumbs up for the posting here!! :worship::worship:
