Photo DVD Movie on my Ressie? What is it?

I have listed on my reservation package "Photo Movie DVD" one per package.

Does anyone know what this is? It said it is included and we are staying at the Grand Floridian. Does everyone get this on their reservation and can someone tell me what it is? Thanks!

If it's included in your package, that's a nice perk. It's pretty expensive to buy.

You mean this is something special? I didn't pay for it did I? I never asked for anything. I booked my package with a 40% coupon back in January and this is what it said on the reservation along with "sea racer offer voucher" and Planet Hollywood Voucher $15" and Minature Golf Voucher". What is all this stuff?

When I called two separate times inquiring about this feature I was told that it was the photopass picture CD that you get free of charge. My daughter and family reserved a photo time at the GF which was to be included in the photopass CD and we were told there it wasn't the CD but a feature that you can get after you purchase the CD which is a interaction movie of your pictures with some of the characters. After many trips to the front desk we were given a code to use which would indeed give us the free CD because that is what the CMs were telling people and the resorts were not familiar with it at all. Good luck and be sure that you get the free photo session at the GF added on to the photopass CD. The photopass pictures are a good way to insure that you have pictures taken at each of the parks and it is a $100 value and that is the information that I was given when I called to ask about it.

Ok is this different than the GF Photo Sessions I am seeing in the threads? DO I have to pay for something or is this free? DO I need to make a reservation for a sitting? I am so confused. What are you doing about making a reservation or are you just getting a photo pass card and buying the package or something and then getting a free CD. Very confused

Like Kimberle said above, check out the Photopass website. Have the photopass folks take pics during your trip and you use the voucher for the CD.

Pretty sure it's different from the GF photo session.

Maybe I am confused, I prepurchased the photopass cd online, I get the session w/GF photographer (49) for no charge, but how do I get the "movie" which if I'm not mistaken is w/like background music & pictures...is this what it is??

There is no voucher for the photopass CD. It took several trips to the front desk to obtain a code number to use when ordering the CD so that we will not be charged. We were finally told to use our reservation number when ordering. The GF photo shoot is booked separately but can be added to your photo pass CD with proof that you do indeed have it with your package.

This one is free and different then the GF one. I got mine with the stitch offer for 40% off room rates only. This came out the end of Janauray and first of February. Did you get this one too? If so, you'll will get a voucher when you check in your hotel.....

when I checked in at POP after booking with a special 40% off pin. The expiration date was Jan. 2008 so I decided to keep it and use it for my free DDP trip we just returned from.

I am now in the process of creating the photomovie, it is alot of fun! Just don't confuse the photomovie with the photopass cd. They are 2 different things. The photomovie is worth about 50$. So it's still a neat bonus.

Make sure you get many pictures on your photopass card. You can use these and your own pictures to create the movie.

So do I need to buy a photocard or can I just get one from the photographer anywhere in Disney and then carry that card around and put multiple pictures on it. Is that how it works? We have never done that, only used our own cameras. If we do get a photocard then we should get a voucher (or code) to use that will allow us to make this photo movie CD for free. Is that correct?? Thanks for any help with this!

Okay everybody, I just got back 2 days ago and not one person could tel me how to get the movie dvd other then "you can buy one". I was supposed to get it in my package as well. The concierge at Poly did not have a clue and I asked 2 different people at 2 different times. I then called disney reservations and was on hold for 30 minutes just to have a guy first tell me it would come "automatically" - umm no. Then he said they were supposed to give me a code on check in. Did'nt happen. He then said find someone who knew what they were doing (was trying to do that the whole time)...
Keep me updated, I never did get an answer.

Is it true you use your reservation number as someone posted? I still don't have an answer from anyone about our trip last week we came back from and we were supposed to receive this too.....
