Are NOT going, or are NOW going?

It would be great if they were on excursions. That would definitely make the CD price a better deal.

3 day - $249.99
4 day - $299.99

Thanks. That tempts me. How many pictures can you actually accumulate on a 3 nighter? Does the dream have the place that does photoshoots like I've seen on the wonder? I'm not sure of the term, but I have seen some cute kids and family shots here and there. If we could do that, it would make the CD more worth it. I had planned on doing a resort photoshoot at WDW, but now we are thinking of just doing 2 or 3 days there and doing a 3 night Dream. So I can justify spending the money a little more if we can get a few family shots. Of course I need to find the time to work it in. LOL!

We did buy the CD on our 4 night Wonder cruise in October. While it IS expensive, the "dressy night" pictures that we had taken were well worth it! There were 7 of us (DH, me, our 3 kids and my parents) I was able to have pictures of just the 3 kids, then the 5 of us and then my parents together and then all 7 of us. Multiple poses for each grouping. We also took advantage of just about every photo op they had before dinner.

Buying the CD allowed me to have copies of ALL our pictures. This was great because I was able to take the CD and have copies of the dressy family pictures made for Christmas presents.

Not sure if DH and I will do the CD on our 7night Magic cruise in March. I'll have to see how many pictures we end up with.

sorry...are NOW going....

:thumbsup2 I assumed that's what you meant, but I just wanted to be sure! I hope that my post didn't come across as rude, I was just trying to decide whether we'd have photographers on the excursions or not.

In answer to the "multiple cabins"/ 1 CD question... We had 2 cabins: DD and my parents were in one and DH, me and the boys were in the other. For all our pictures, we stood in line as a group of 7 and then I gave the CM my KTTW card. I was then able to say "Just the kids... now 5 of us...now all 7" and all the pictures were on the same CD.

The photographers were great about taking time with everyone. For one of the nights a family that had already eaten gave up their spot in line to us since we were running late for our dinner at Triton's. They also had someone there who would take pictures with my camera as well and were never any problems about doing this as well.

Make sure you check each day to see if your pictures are all shown for the CD. DH and I made it a point to pull the pictures off the wall and match them up to the ones shown on the kiosk. Some had been missing and we had a couple of another family. When brought to the CM's attention, it was quickly dealt with and the missing ones were added.

For $400 we will have to have a LOT of awesome pics for me to get the cd.... $250 or under we be a price I could easily go for... I'll be checking out the picks but I doubt I buy the cd....

Can you purchase a calendar with pictures on the different pages?? My SIL got one at WDW and it was a fraction of the cost of all of the individual pictures. She picked all of the pictures she wanted and put them on the pages and then just cut them out when she got home. They weren't printed on photo paper but she had the great pictures anyway.

So far the ships are only offering the photo cd, individual pics (or packages) and Holiday photo cards.

Next time we're going to go for the CD. With all the time and energy we spent trying to get rid of the borders for our Christmas card photos, I'd like to have all of them available without the borders.

Can you wait and decide til lthe end of the trip, or is it something you must order on day 1.

If we purchase the CD from our cruise, can we make a photobook on the photopass site with the DCL CD? Every Disney trip, we make a photobook and I just treasure our photobooks. I know when we make our photobook, we use photopass photos and our own photos, so I would think you could use DCL CD photos as your own? Anybody ever do this? Thanks

The kiosks for ordering the CD (and for viewing all your pictures) no longer works at 12:01 am on the last day of your cruise. So in theory, you could buy it on the very last night before midnight (make sure to confirm this with the Shutters staff sometime during the cruise). You then have to visit Shutters on the last morning to pick up the CD. Shutters had big signs to indicate which cashier to go to depending on your deck to pick up the CD's. Others have posted that it gets to be crazy in Shutters on the last morning, since some people are still ordering prints, doing Christmas cards, etc., while most people are stuck in line behind them just want to pick up the CD. At 6:30 in the morning, there were no lines at all. So I would recommend getting there as early as possible.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I ordered ours around 10:30 p.m. the last night of our cruise after confirming with the staff and it was ready to be picked up the next morning.

Doing a 7 day Med cruise in August with my family (me, DH and 3DSs) and think I'm starting to save now. If I am able to get individual shoots of the children, me and I my husband, plus a variety of different :grouphug: group shoots  I think it will be well worth the money. I love some of the plain white studio like shoots on some peoples signatures.

You have the CD and a copyright release so yu can use the pictures on the CD to make a photobook on ANY web site (ex Shutterfly, MyPublisher, Costco if you're a member, etc). I always use our vacation pictures for books and calendars, I did this on our last cruise and plan to do it for the next one as well.
